Devil's Steak Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2008
The sauce was SOOO DELICIOUS!!! In fact, I created a user profile just to rate this recipe. I had to improvise a little bit because I didn't have all the ingredients. I used an all berries jam, prego for the tomato sauce, red wine vinegar in place of malt vinegar and added crushed red pepper flakes and minced onions. Simple yet delectable!

Spicy Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2011
This is a great summer salad. The only thing I would change is the amount of sugar in the dressing. I think 1/3 cup of sugar will do. Other than that, this salad is fantastic. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

Island-Style Fried Rice

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2011
This is an AWESOME recipe. I love the play on sweet and salty. You should definitely use SPAM. I used the low sodium kind. For pineapple, I used pineapple tidbits which was the perfect size for a perfect bite. For additional flavor and color, I added frozen peas and corn at the end of the rice. Everyone loves this rice recipe and can't believe SPAM was in it. (I didn't tell them SPAM was in the recipe because most people would not have tried it.) If you haven't given SPAM a try, you should. Also, you should use the oyster sauce. It does not give a fishy taste at all. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe! It's a definitely a family and guest favorite.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2012
Thank you for sharing this amazing recipe. This is by far the best lasagna I have EVER eaten. I think it's even better than my husband's grandma's lasagna and any lasagna you can order at an Italian restaurant. The sauce is what makes it delicious and so full of flavor. I used 1 lb of gr beef and 1 lb of Jimmy Dean maple sausage. I cooked all the ingredients for the sauce in a pan and transferred it to a crockpot to cook more. The only problem with using the crockpot is it breaks down the meat but other than that it was out of this world. I took some suggestions from other reviewers and barely used any salt as the sausage and cheese had plenty. Also I soaked the noodles in hot tap water for 20 minutes and I cooked everything else as directed. Absolutely fantastic; I'm looking forward to eating more. Another note, this sauce will be my go to sauce for spaghetti. A little time consuming but well worth the effort. Try this recipe. You won't regret it!

Candied Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2012
Absolutely delicious!!!!! I thickened the sauce on the stove before adding it to the chicken. Also I baked it uncovered and didn't add the pineapples because we didn't have any. So amazingly good. Thanks for the recipe.

Baked Tofu Bites

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2013
The tofu bites tasted ok. Nothing specular. Next time I will just use a teriyaki marinade instead of going through the trouble of measuring all the listed ingredients. Also I had to bake for 40 minutes instead of the 15 minute time listed. Remember to turn tofu during the 40 minute cook time.

Sturdy Whipped Cream Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2013
Frosting is delicious. It holds up well. Not as well as buttercream but for a whipped topping, It's great. Kids might not like it as much because of the tang from the cream cheese and it's not as sweet as the traditional buttercream frosting from bakeries. I added 3/4 cup sugar instead of the 1/2 cup listed. Thanks for the recipe.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2013
Absolutely delicious!!! I used the recipe for Bill Echols Taco Seasoning and omitted the beer. The one thing I would change is the amount of red pepper flakes. 1/4 teaspoon was way too hot for me and I couldn't serve it to my daughter. Maybe just a dash would be sufficient. Thank you for this recipe. I can't wait to make this again.
