Like many other users, I made some modifications to this recipe, but overall it was delicious! After about 7 hours it turned out super tender, flavorful, and still moist...just like you hope for it to. My modifications included using a herb rub (thyme, parsley, cayenne, salt/pepper, garlic powder, onion powder) on the meet before browning it, putting the vegetables in halfway through the cooking time, and using beef broth instead of the dry onion soup mix. I also served with mashed potatoes, instead of red potatoes in the pot. As my wife says, "this is perfect for a winter meal as it just makes you feel all warm and comforted inside." I will make this again!
