What makes a person on ALLRECIPES pick their username? I chose my username "soupy" because I love soups. Although I add and add and add to the soups I make, which makes them come out more like stews. I guess I should have used the username "stewy".  Everyone picks for different reasons. I love to see some of the name people us, it tells a lot about them.

My handle aka user name is from a form of MSDOS 3.2 back in the early 80's Called SpartaDOSX. It was made by ICD inc. (now defunct) for the Atari computer system. I happened to be a sort of expert on the DOS, and had gained the handle from the users of our computer group. here is a link to a bit of information about SpartaDOS http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SpartaDOS_X

Hi Soupy! I am Magnolia Blossom and no, I am not from the south. I am from Magnolia, IL. Should be fun to hear some of the other names and how they picked them.

Oct. 8, 2012 6:55 pm
Mine is my name. I know, original. But when I first signed up I didn't realize my username would appear all over, I thought it was meant more for logging in. Had I known it would show up all over, I would have been more creative. I've thought of changing it, but now I'm just used to it. It is really fun to hear why people picked their usernames!

Oct. 8, 2012 7:43 pm
My initials are DR. When I was little, folks called me Doc.

Oct. 8, 2012 7:56 pm
BigShot is my furbaby. She was born in a window well at the local firehouse. My son was afraid something would happen to her so as soon as she could be weaned, he brought her home to me. At 5 weeks old, she was willing to adopt me too. From the day she arrived she ruled the household, thus her name and by default, mine.

Love your story about your thick soups. My soups are always thick. I get teased at work, so I made my chicken noodle soup soupy, and my kids complained because it wasn't thick, like my normal (= My user name is my job and my name. I came up with my email address after a long night at work, and it was basically how I answered the phone all night (= When I came here, I couldn't think of anything mroe creative, until about two years in ["sugarbuns," a nickname a friend called me in high school - and, I thought, more site appropriate], but when I put it up for a vote on the buzz, it was shot down, so I am still xraybarb (= [OH! And I added my backwards smile after weeing a discussion about it on the buzz one day (=]

My favorite color is purple. I tried to think of a user name that was food related and tied in with my love of purple. All i could come up with was eggplant and plums (and eggplant just wasn't going to make the cut) And I also think I'm a nice person. People always tell me I'm so sweet. Since sugarplums are sweet & purple..that's me!

Way back when I got my first computer I was so crazy busy doing things and didn't have time to even type a descent name so I "let it all hang out" and decided to let everyone know that "I Be Busy".

Oct. 9, 2012 9:04 am
I love Halloween and usually dress up every year. One year I dressed up as "Mimi" from The Drew Carey Show and I went and pranked the construction crews at my job (they had no idea who I was). But I didn't really want to be "Mimi" on AR and realized I would really just rather be Mi Being Mi!

I love all the names people and stories. I wish more would share their story about their usernames. :)

Oct. 9, 2012 11:45 am
merlion - mythical creature, part fish, part lion. Used as a mascot of my home country - Singapore. Was missing home when I joined AR, thus the username...

Oct. 9, 2012 12:28 pm
my user name "Covergirl" probably evokes images of Cheryl Teigs, or Cindy Crawford or some other georgous model. NOT! I am called that because as I became a semi-retired nurse, I only worked when one of my fellow nurses wanted to go on vacation or was out sick, etc. and they asked me to cover for them. Thus the nickname "Covergirl". Sorry to disappoint anybody who might have had a beautiful magazine cover image, I am actually a very plump, 66 year old tired nurse.

Oct. 9, 2012 1:27 pm
I love bell peppers! I love colorful food, so I use them a lot in my cooking. Funny, because as a kid I hated them. I toyed with names until I decided on bellpepper. It was Hubs who suggested I add the additional "e" so I became bellepepper and now lots of Buzzers just call me belle! Works for me!

Oct. 9, 2012 1:29 pm
I actually chose mine (semigourmet) because I am not a gourmet chef but not just the basic home cook either. so I went with middle of the road, and took inspiration from the Food Network Show Semihomemade. It was either this name or Sistermary, which came about by accident. I had called my sister at work, and her receptionist asked me who was calling so I said just tell her it's her sister Mary. the girl went to my sister all wide eyed asking what she had done, that there was a Sister Mary on the phone. so from then on I became sister Mary. LOL in light of that you will every now and then find a recipe named sister Mary's ect...

Oct. 9, 2012 1:33 pm
Great stories behind the names thanks for posting this Soupy.

Jay
Oct. 9, 2012 2:12 pm
I use the same name for everything. I suppose I am slightly slow or not very creative. I love to see other peoples though.

Oct. 9, 2012 2:18 pm
Mine is my name,my daughter put me onto this site,as i like to cook and look up recipes, and like faithirene, not very orginal, but mine.

Seeker
Oct. 9, 2012 2:31 pm
Years back, I got on my mom's computer now and then and was known as "Seeker." I only looked up recipes and printed them at that time. However, when I decided to get going with my own computer...I couldn't remember my password and somehow couldn't retrieve it through AR. Not sure why. So decided to be "Seekery" because seeker was taken. Whoa isn't that deep? :)

Oct. 9, 2012 2:35 pm
I originally signed up as my name, Peggy. A while back there was a discussion about some confusion with duplicate names on here, so to distinguish myself from any other Peggy, I added my state. I know, not very creative. I use IndianaPeggy now on TripAdvisor too.

Molly
Oct. 9, 2012 2:39 pm
Molly is my name, not a boring name, just not a fun AR name! Like faithirene, I thought it was for logging in, not my actual user name. If I had been creative, I would have used daddylongleggs or mistymoomoo - both lovely names from my 2 brothers. lol Thanks for the fun post, soupy.

Oct. 9, 2012 2:48 pm
I found AR just prior to going in for surgery. I knew that when I came home I would be all "patched" up ... thus Patches. Enjoying your blog, soupy!

Oct. 9, 2012 3:06 pm
What's for dinner, mom? is what I hear every day right after :" Hi! I'm home...." Sometimes the kids even ask before leaving for school in the morning! My name is Jan. :)

Oct. 9, 2012 3:27 pm
So funny and creative. I've enjoyed reading these. We've done this before with some that are no longer around and people never cease to amaze me with their creativity. I've had this name since 98 when I was a SAHM with 3 young boys. I thought I was being creative using my husband's online gaming name/nickname that his brother gave him. Since it sounded masculine I thought it would keep me safe from this *new* internet email system, lol! I've tried a couple of times to move away from it & come up with one of my own, but I've been scotdog so long it's stuck. And, it has embarrassed me a few times :)

Elaine
Oct. 9, 2012 3:58 pm
I didn't do anything fancy just used my first name, which this happens to be the only site I've ever done that with. Everywhere else I have a user name.

bett
Oct. 9, 2012 4:13 pm
Hi, my name is Betty, but everybody at work went to calling me Bett and I could't come up with any thing original, so I dropped the y and use that. Love hearing how your names came about.

Barb
Oct. 9, 2012 4:28 pm
Well mine is super boring, its my name.

Oct. 9, 2012 4:41 pm
My kids had a book when they were little called Pickle Things (by Marc Brown, the author of Arthur) and the dedication was to his kids, who he called "two sweet pickles." I started calling my kids that and still do all these years later. It seems like a great username for a food site.

Oct. 9, 2012 7:29 pm
Mine is just my name, too. Sometimes I wish I had used Christine ~ as sometimes people think I am a guy.....

Oct. 9, 2012 8:40 pm
I live at the shore and I love to cook. The caps is because I can hear you better if you shout. (Actually I didn't know better)

Oct. 10, 2012 4:17 am
I'm pretty easy to get along with, that's the sweet sugar part, but if I get nicked off, I go to instant bi....spice ;)

Oct. 10, 2012 4:44 am
I wish I could respond to every person that posted their response to my blog. I hope more people respond to it, you can learn a lot about someone. It almost puts a face to the name and makes you realize someone might not be a male or a female based on the username.

Oct. 10, 2012 5:03 am
My screen name came about because, years ago, when I was playing with a band called Wicked Ways, I was the only female in an all male band who thought women had no place in rock & roll but they needed a rhythm guitar player and I was good at what I did. I showed up for a gig one night and the guys decided to try to throw me for a loop and make me quit so they started playing "Witchy Woman" by the Eagles because it was not on our list...they were quite surprised when I grabbed the microphone and belted it out...so the name has stuck with me for years and it does have a double meaning as I can live up to that name quite well...just ask my husband!! ;)

Oct. 10, 2012 6:02 am
Mine is just a 'take-off' from my given name, Clifford.

Oct. 10, 2012 7:16 am
Fun blog, Soupy! It's really fun to see the backstory on our usernames! My last name begins with Mc and my first name begins with a D. I'm actually not a fan of MacDonald's! ;)

Oct. 10, 2012 8:06 am
My user name is because my name is Janet and I am the youngest of 7 kids and born on the 7th of February.

Oct. 10, 2012 8:40 am

Elle
Oct. 10, 2012 10:10 am
Just my nickname....Elle, El, "L"...they're all me. I started here as E6, as it's easy to remember, but decided a "real" name was better.

Oct. 10, 2012 10:25 am
This has been a lot of fun to read. I've seen some of the back stories before but not all. Mine came about because I moved from the Deep South to Wisconsin a few years ago when I married. My husband's nickmane for me is Sweet Pea, so wisweetp was born. I'll have to change again when we move South in a few years, and I'm already trying to think of a new one! : )

Oct. 10, 2012 10:30 am
I use this name for everything so I didn't even think twice when I was registering for this site. It is the name of my baby kitty who is not really a baby anymore(13)but is small and still has that cute kitten face. She also whines and cries for attention just like a baby :)

Oct. 10, 2012 10:44 am
Many years ago when I got my first computer, my hair was still red. ;) My first initial is C for Conda and Wolf was part of my last name, hence, Redcwolf

Geoju.....nope, not very original. Hubby's name is George and I'm Judy. It was fun reading the responses to this, Soupy!!

Oct. 10, 2012 1:03 pm
Hi soupy! My on-line name is "Cathy Myers" and I close posts, emails to AR friends, etc. as "Cathy Myers". XrayBarb started the knickname and it has affectionately stuck. I remember Barb's daughter, Cady, correcting her when Barb called me "Cathy Myers" in front of me. Cady said, "Mom, Cathy's right here. You don't have to call her "Cathy Myers"!" I said, "Oh yes, Cady! That's your mom's name of affection for me". That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

Oct. 10, 2012 1:46 pm
I love to bake cakes. I love to eat them too. I just love cakes!!!!

Alisa
Oct. 10, 2012 2:20 pm
Hey soupy, I used my real name, not too creative I know! Had fun reading everyones posts about their names!

Oct. 10, 2012 4:30 pm
My name started when I used to go on bulletin boards about 20 years ago (now I feel old). I race and ride all terrain vehicles, atv's. I am a dude. My race number was 44. My name for any new forums has been atvrex for several years, less typing and if atvrex is not available I know I have already signed up.

Oct. 10, 2012 4:57 pm
My name came about years ago , given to me by my brother . Hosting Holiday dinners , he would always announce , " Get ready for some lumpy gravy . " He wasn't kidding ! I always had a time with gravies and sauces . It took awhile , and I finally got the hang of it , but the name stuck . To this day he still calls me Lump , or Lucy lump lump .

Oct. 10, 2012 4:57 pm
The screen name that I used for many years, PITA2wife, I thought might not be welcomed here so I use my real name. I might try it some day and find out if the AR censors will ban me.

Oct. 10, 2012 5:24 pm
Always neat to find out the story behind everyone's usernames. Some I already know ...I'm "1gdcowgrl" (one good cowgirl) I remember someone years ago when I joined AR thinking the g and d might be a curse word. Lol! I s'pose it could. My husband got a job as the ranchhand on a big cattle ranch and I fully embraced the lifestyle. The husband was my cowboy and me, his cowgirl. So when I had to decide on name for my profile, cowgirl was it. I had to add the 1gd to it because I'm full of myself. Sometimes. I thought about changing my name 2 yrs. ago when the husband went back to school to be a truck driver but I can't ...I'm a cowgrl at heart.

Oct. 10, 2012 5:43 pm
Wisweetp, when you move south, how about sosweetp....the *so* being the abbreviation for south :)

Oct. 10, 2012 8:25 pm
My name is Shearone. A lot of people look at my AR name and say shear one or Shea rony. Actually, my family pronounces it as Shea (like butter) and Ron - the e is silent.

Clover
Oct. 10, 2012 8:53 pm
Several years back during a drought period, I planted clover seed in our yard so it would be green out there. A friend told me "if you can't grow grass, you might as well plant weeds" There is still some growing here and there, despite weed n feed etc.

Oct. 11, 2012 1:55 am
I love the Cirque Du Soliel show by this name and I like that it denotes happiness & joy. We could all use a little more of that :)

Oct. 11, 2012 4:58 am
My name is a nod to the best dog I ever had, my Wyatt. I have used this name for 10 years now, and I will always be Wyattdogster. I answer to WD, Wyatt, dogster, any combo of the above...and Laurie (my real name). Sadly, Wyatt passed away last Christmas and I'm glad that the name I chose makes me think of him every time I log on. Thanks for putting this blog up...it makes for fun reading!

Oct. 11, 2012 5:59 am
And, BTW.....reading through all the posts here makes me laugh at how far off I was in trying to figure out the how's and why's of some folk's user names!

Oct. 11, 2012 6:39 am
I've used Calamity Anne for years now. It all started with the house we used to live in...when all sorts of calamatous events occured year after year. We moved out of there a year ago, and knock on wood, the calamity has ceased. I'm starting to use Chunky Mermaid now when I sign up on new sites...why...because I sell cruises and I'm chunky!

Oct. 11, 2012 6:58 am
Once I was LadyBusDriver. . .then, I quit driving a bus and pondered with the cousins and kids about what I should choose. . .LadySparkle came up quickly because I love me some sparklies and you know that 'sparkle' make up. . .um. . .yeah, I like it. Kids bought me a "Sparkle" ornament shortly after and it hangs beside my kitchen sink. :)

Oct. 11, 2012 8:16 am
I don't have a creative bone in my body so I just chose my own name.

Oct. 11, 2012 9:02 am
Doug! You're a wonderful creative cook! What do you mean???

Oct. 11, 2012 9:58 am
LadySparkle...you'll always be Sparkle Britches to me. Wasn't it me that christened thee? ;)

Oct. 11, 2012 11:37 am
LOL!! T'was you or RNG! :) I ALSO use Sparkle paper towels and this is not a product endorsement and nobody paid me to say it, LMAO~!~

JoAnne A
Oct. 11, 2012 11:42 am
I chose JA for my initials and 1441 for my firefighter badge number.

Oct. 11, 2012 3:16 pm
I chose my first username in 1996 when I had a job and I got a computer with the Internet on it. For said job, I helped manage an office that sold a line of frozen foods in Hunt's Point, Bronx. I was only 17 and living on my own at the time, and I bought a lot of the frozen food because I got a crazy discount on it. My favorite things were the fish sticks. I chose an abbreviation of "Fish Stick Queen" for my username. Thanks to this site I've gotten a lot of good recipes, and a heckuvalot more inspiration for when I'm pretending to be on a show like "Top Chef", but I understand I'd still only be worthy of an Amateur Hour episode of "Chopped". So even though it appears I can actually change my username, I'm stickin' with the FSQueen, because it's nice to be reminded how far I've come with my cooking abilities.

Oct. 11, 2012 8:59 pm
I am a die-hard NJ Devils fan, and 43 is my lucky number! I use this name on every site im ever on. LOL

Oct. 11, 2012 10:14 pm
We have 3 kids, when they were little they all used to take baths together. It's that simple, ha ha.

Oct. 12, 2012 12:53 am
OH! I LOVE "crowdedbath!" Wish I'd'a thought of that one! We had lots of those nights when the kids were all little!

Oct. 12, 2012 7:36 am
MochaMe. i love mocha! give me now! lol I have another "pen name" which is my email address, but I always use it. I wanted to be different.

J. Dub
Oct. 12, 2012 10:27 am
I'm not very happy with my user name. The J is for my first name, Jessica. The Dub is because my last name starts with a W. I've been contemplating changing it for quite a while now. Then I think, "but then people won't know me." Then I think, "but I don't get on here that much anyway that people know me." So, I think I'll be changing it once I think of something better. You probably all think my name should be 'bimbo' now! :) Hah! Fun post, Soupy!

Oct. 12, 2012 10:53 am
Mine is my name - woohoo. Since you like soups would you happen to have a recipe for jalapeno soup?

Oct. 12, 2012 12:09 pm
Bearlybarbie, because I love black bears and barbies, and being that I love to cook (and eat) I'm bearly a Barbie, LMAO!!!

Oct. 12, 2012 12:35 pm
Sorry Shorecook, I had to laugh on the caps because I don't hear well either (a side effect of congential scoliosis). My kids are always saying "Are ya deaf mom?". I honestly don't know why I did all caps but I like your reasoning!

Oct. 12, 2012 1:47 pm
burnsey because my last name is burns my only granddaughter had a friend that called her burnsey so i guess i kinda stoled it from her but what can you expect from a 84 year old grandma whos thinker is about wore out i love recipes

Oct. 12, 2012 2:56 pm
Mine's a bit of a play on words. My nickname is Kat. Whenever anyone is looking for me, hubby just says, "Kat's in the kitchen" because that's where I love to be. But we have two cats, who generally enjoy watching the goings-on...one used to sit on the bar stool when she was younger watching my every move and I pretty much put on a cooking lesson for her each time I made something. She never took it up, but nowadays, if Kat's in the kitchen, then the cats are often in the kitchen as well. So that's how it came about. Suits me perfectly :-)

mamaby
Oct. 12, 2012 5:37 pm
"Mama" because I am one, and 'by' because it is the beginning syllable of my last name. I have an unusual first name and don't ever use it as a username. Fun blog!

Oct. 12, 2012 7:11 pm
Someone else did the same blog. I forgot who it was. Well, mine is easy. I love to cook! I just thought I'd shorten it. There is a couple of other luv2cook on here. Just so you don't get confused I only have one picture, I use as my avatar, of my son when he was in little league. I am from NC.

Oct. 12, 2012 7:13 pm
I love soups as well and the more that's in there, the better!

Sheila
Oct. 12, 2012 7:21 pm
Sheila means 'girl' in german. My friend walked in and called me 'Sheila' when i was choosing my name, so i used that as my username. I am from CA. Interesting blog!!

Oct. 12, 2012 8:02 pm
I came up with my username because I am mom to 8 children (all naturally ours and maybe might adopt someday) and now a disabled Army Veteran. Our children's ages range from 1 month old to 16 yrs old (6 boys and 2 girls). :)

Oct. 12, 2012 11:32 pm
My username has absolutely nothing to do with cooking or food in any way. My husbands initials are GJ and I'm his Lady, thus the name, GJsLady. But I do love to cook and have tried several different sites, but always come back here. Love this site

Stacey
Oct. 13, 2012 3:39 am
Hi Soupy...just a little fun fact about your user name...in the town I live in (In Rhode Island) Soupy is the name of a very popular, very strong flavored Italian sausage. Soupy is short for Supri Sopressata. It is quite the aquired taste and comes either hot or sweet. Traditionally it is cured by hanging it from the rafters of the basement. Westerly, RI is very proud of their soupy and it has become a town trademark. Try it if you ever get the chance.

Oct. 13, 2012 3:46 am
This is a fun post - I love to read how people came up with their names. Mine came from my daughter years ago. When my kids would misbehave I would use their first and middle names (ie. Kristal Lea! Stephen Robert!) when yelling at them. When Kristal was about 11 or 12 (she's 27 now) I said or did something that she didn't "approve" of and called me Mother Ann - Mother being my first name to her and Ann is my middle name. It stuck and she calls me this still.

Oct. 13, 2012 6:55 am
Now this may seem strange, but I chose my user name after what we call my hubby's souped up 1970 Chevelle. He's had this car for over 30 years and it's like a part of the family. I use it as a user name because it's usually always available. And I have to admit, I loved to watch those cheesy old Godzilla movies when I was a kid. My real name is Mary Ann, but on AR I'll always be Godzilla!

Nutmeg~n~Pepper
Oct. 13, 2012 7:07 am
Well, I'm only marginally more creative than those who simply use their names (a nod to Doug Matthews), so my name is made up of my two cats that I love. And, since this is a food site, I thought it appropriate enough. I can't imagine what people might think when they see the two words together, since I don't know as I would use the two in the same recipe. Also, I admit I started out as Kat (part of my first name and, again, I love kitties), but changed it when I saw there was more than one on the site.

Oct. 13, 2012 8:03 am
I'm quite large (I prefer the term "overly voluputous") and started swimming in the local pool. Me in my pink swimsuit reminded me of the tutu dancing hippos in "Fantasia". This being a recipe site made it an easy jump to my screen name and picture.

Oct. 13, 2012 11:14 am
What a fun discussion. Coloradocookie- I am from Colorado and my mom used to call me Cookie as a term of endearment, like sweetie. Love to cook and so it all just seemed to fit.

Radjan
Oct. 13, 2012 5:38 pm
This is fun! I've had my username since '99 - when chat rooms were new and intriguing and sometimes dangerous. I could hide behind the name since it doesn't really denote a gender, though most guess I'm female. The full name is Radjan Spirit and it's from a game called Magic: the Gathering. I've used 'Radjan' as my main character on EverQuest and World of Warcraft (yes, I'm a geek!) The avatar I use is the artwork on the original M:tG card.

Oct. 13, 2012 8:42 pm
"Stevie" came from 20 yrs ago, before "voice mail" on our phones, and as I was friendly with 3 other "Steve's" I started with, "this is Stevie baby!" I think that "CrazyCook" explains itself... Send me a recipe, I'll try it... haven't yet made pita bread, but do have a rec awaiting for saltine crackers... When I go "crazy" I simply COOK! Loving all I've read, so many great stories! BE WELL, ALL, and keep the comments coming! This is way to interesting to let it slip away!~

Oct. 13, 2012 9:28 pm
I haven't been here in a long while, but couldn't resist checking out this discussion when it arrived with the weekly buzz. I chose lucylove because Lucy is the cat (we have 4) whose love I have to work for. The others are easy. I've thought of changing it to my real name, Duffy, but then I'd have to answer all the questions from people who ask what my real name is. Really, it's Duffy. Says so on my mortgage and passport, so I know it's true, lol.

Oct. 14, 2012 6:51 am
hmmm.. Well we fell in love with Maui 20+ years ago and quickly bought our second home there. My spousal unit then bought me vanity plates that said "MAUIGRL". When we retired from Washington state, we moved to the islands and when the economy turned sour we retreated to Las Vegas. I thought about changing my name, but Las Vegas Girl just doesn't have a good ring to it and my heart is still always with Maui and my island ohana. BTW if I did change the name it would surely need to read "OLD mauigirl"!

It is fun reading how everyone came up with their names...mine is not that creative. It is just a play on my real name Jade...and I am a girl ;)

I used my whole name because I didn't even know you could use a different username back then. HaHa When I first became a member if you Googled my name the first thing that would show up was my Allrecipes.com account-this was before Facebook and Twitter.

My name is inspired by my kids, well, the first 4 anyway...it's the first two letters of their first names! I really should make a new one to include the last two, but alas, I've become so fond of this one!

lol @ our "old" mauigirl. [I'm so old that when I started in xray, we used flashlights to make shadows - lol!]

Cute blog! My nickname is Dee and being a totally girly girl I dress our table for every single meal and even snacks like tea and cookies so I am often referred to as the "Diva" of our social circle. I decided to co-op the label as a username.

Just like lucylove, I haven't been here in quite a while but was curious about your blog when I saw it in the Weekly Buzz. Love all the stories as to why each person chose their user name, very interesting!! Mine is pretty easy and not too creative! Daisy is a nickname given to me long ago when a friend's spouse couldn't pronounce my first name and K is the first initial of my last name. The nickname has stuck around with a few people but it isn't used much anymore. I keep thinking I should change it but just haven't gotten around to it yet. Great blog!

I love this and have been enjoying your stories behind your usernames. Mine, ItalianSpice, is from two parts. I am proud of my Italian background. My Gramma Jo was a great cook and I inherited all her recipes when she died. I miss her. And spice: I love adding spices to EVERYTHING. So, what you have here is my Spice Girl name :-)

I'm making $86 an hour working from home. I was shocked when my neighbour told me she was averaging $95 but I see how it works now. I feel so much freedom now that I'm my own boss. This is what I do, Red97.com

About Me
I like to try to create new recipes for cooking and baking contest. I am a certified dialysis technician I am married to a great guy who is my best friend. We have a camp in Newport Maine and we enjoy spending as much time there as possible.
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook or bake most anything except fish. I am not great at all recipes but the best things I make are soups and stews. I like to try new things. I love to read everyones reviews because it helps me to avoid some of the mistakes they have made.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Thanksgiving we spend at my sister-in-laws house. We always bring a ham and some kind of appetizer. This year they invited my dad to go with us.He would have been alone due to my passing two monthes earlier and my sister traveling to see her son. He had a great time and will come from now on.
My cooking triumphs
My triumph is that I have finally aloud my husband to cook in the kitchen. I am always afraid of what he would make for us to eat. Turns out he is a pretty good cook and we have a great time cooking together.
My cooking tragedies
My bread making never seems to come out right. Usually come out very hard and doesn't rise. I hope to conquer this some day.
