About this Cook
I grew up helping my mother cook, and now that I am in college I have decided to follow a career path that will hopefully allow me to teach others to cook as well. I just got engaged to a wonderful man and I can't wait to spend forever with him! I mostly cook for him and his roommates and rarely do we have leftovers!
My favorite things to cook
I love baking, but lately I've become adventurous and have been trying all kinds of new things.
My favorite family cooking traditions
There are really an specific family recipes, but I love spending the holidays with my family. My mom and I always cook together during this time and it reminds me of my childhood.
My cooking triumphs
Cooking my first turkey for Thanksgiving 2008. It was nice and juicy.
My cooking tragedies
Making an apple brine for my first Turkey for Thanksgiving 2008. The basking bag that SAID it would hold the turkey and the liquid...DID NOT hold the turkey or the liquid. I'm still finding sticky spots in my kitchen from where the bag split and went everywhere.

Fried Corn with Smoked Sausage
I love this recipe! It was very quick and easy. I used an extra spicy sausage the second time I made it instead of just smoked sausage because I felt it was too sweet. A new favorite in my house!

Boston Cream Pie Minis
These turned out delicious! They were very easy to make as well. I used fat free pudding and cool whip and it turned out just fine. I also used dark chocolate to give a little more "bite". It was awesome and they were all gone before I could even get seconds!
