Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
These were very good cookies. I finished them in 2 days (with a little help). I cut the recipe in half and they were perfect nibblers. Not too sweet, not too spicy... IDEAL.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
I found these good but not WOW. They took significantly longer to bake and they lacked sweetness. This may have been the blueberries, but they seemed pretty sweet. Overall, a good muffin recipe to start.

Satiny Chocolate Glaze

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2009
Did it in my microwave and it was too easy. I doubled it to cover a 9x13 cake and it was perfect. Delicious!

Double Chocolate Brownie Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2009
I made this for a co-workers birthday and it turned out fantastic. I did not have sour cream so I just omitted it. I did use 1 1/4 cup of milk instead of the water and sour cream. I also put the satiny chocolate glaze on it and it gobbled up. It is quite like the bundt cake you buy at Costco. Also, heads up there is this exact recipe on the side of a duncan hines devil's food cake box!

Mini Cheesecakes

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2009
I made these for a bridal shower yesterday and they were the first things gone on the dessert table. Everyone kept telling me how wonderful they were. Perfect bite sized treats. I followed the recipe exactly except I cut it in half. I will defintely make them again for an easy go to dessert recipe that is quick and a favorite. Perfect for bringing to a picnic, BBQ, dinner. Very presentable as well!

Peanut Butter Bars I

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2009
Chocolate and peanut butter go together like heaven. This recipe is quick and easy and always tastes amazing. The bars are also very rich so you can cut them small and it serves a lot of people. It's one of my go-to recipes.

Strawberry Torte

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2009
I tried to make this as a dessert for a BBQ and it turned out bad. I mean it tasted good, but the presentation was horrible. it slid all over the place and started ozzing the minute I took off the springform pan. Alas, practice will make perfect but I will definitely be doing it another way next time.

BAKER'S Peanut Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Reviewed: May 28, 2009
I made these for my Kickball Team and I can't tell you how good they are. Even my husband who doesn't like oatmeal cookies kept stealing them off the cooling racks. I did add about 1/2 tsp of cinnamon to the dry mixture and about 1/4 of a cup more peanut butter (for chewy factor). I didnt have chocolate chips (or bakers) so I chopped up a hershey's bar and it worked wonderfully. GREAT RECEIPE. It will go into the collection that I will actually make again.

Mom's Good Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2009
I made these this morning and they turned out good but not great. The dough was the right consistancy but they lacked in sweetness. Next time I will add more white sugar to the dough I think and also some white sugar on top of the butter. The dough was very sticky when I went to roll it out and knead and I ended up having to use about another 1/2 cup of flour just to get it workable.

Potato Pancakes I

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
I made these last night to go with pork chops. Although they did turn out well, they lacked in flavor and did not stick together as well as I would have hoped once I put them in the oil. Next time I will be sure to add extra herbs and spices as well as another egg.

Strawberry Yogurt Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2009
I just made this cake for my sister-in-law's birthday and it turned out perfect! I used Betty Crocker Whipped Whip Cream frosting instead of the vanilla to give it a lighter taste and colored the frosting in the middle of the two cakes with red food coloring to make it pink. The strawberrys I used werent super sweet because they are not in season so I mixed them with a few tablespoons of sugar and dried them in a paper towel to give them a kick. All in all, great recipe.
