Spinach Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2009
Yummy! I tried this recipe one night when I had a rice craving and I was not disappointed. The only problem is the cooking time is a bit long.

Spinach Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2009
Very delicious. I've never had lentils before and this was a great way to try them for the first time. The soup keeps well as well, as it kept for me in the fridge for a week. The only problem I had with it was that the flavors weren't as strong as I would have liked them to be so I had to experiment with it until it was perfect. Other than that, great soup!

Double Peanut Butter Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2009
I was looking for something different to make my son and I found this recipe. It sounded delicious so I decided to try it. Let me tell you I was not disappointed at all! The cake turned out a little dense. I'm not sure if that is how it's supposed to be, but it actually made the cake better so I cannot complain. The flavors weren't too strong and since it was dense the texture was lovely. The icing was delicious as well and added that sweet touch that complimented the cake very nicely. The only thing I changed was I added spices to the cake batter. Other than that I made it as is and it was very good. Thank you for sharing this recipe, I will definitely make this again.

Julia's Best Ever Chocolate Chip Cookies In A Jar

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2008
I wanted to make these for a gift, but I never really thought about trying them out. But I messed up and made too much and when it wouldn't fit in my jar I decided to use it to sample the cookies. I'm glad I did! They're delicious, even if they don't flatten the way cookies usually do. There was a lot of chocolate chips in it though, but I think that it made it yummier! I'm not a big fan of chocolate chip cookies, but I really love these. They look pretty in the jars and I hope that everyone I give them to likes them as well! Thanks for the recipe.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
At first when I was looking at all the photos submitted for this recipe, I was a little nervous about trying it out. They all looked very pretty and I thought mine would turn out a mess... but I'm glad I tried it! It was easy to make and although tasted very sweet by itself, complimented my sugar cookies nicely. I substituted Vanilla for the Almond extract, though. It was also very easy to put on and decorate with. The glossy shine made it look professionally done. I'm in love with this recipe. Thank you for sharing!

Soft Christmas Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2008
One word - Delicious! I always seemed to have a hard time making Sugar Cookies. Either the recipe was strange or the ingredients didn't quite taste right in it. But this one is different! It's really buttery with a crunch on the corners while still remaining soft and chewy in the center! That is what I love in a cookie. And the dough was so easy to prepare, I could have sworn I did it wrong, but I didn't! Overall a very great cookie! I'm so keeping this. Thank you for sharing it!

Eggplant Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
I was not at all impressed by this recipe. First off, it smoked up my entire house when I was frying the eggplant. But after I baked it, I must admit it looked nice... until I bit into it! I forced myself to chew it and swallow. All I could taste was the grease and the eggplant was not cooked all the way through. It was a horrible mix of onion, which didn't even cook all the way, tomato, and grease. I did not like it al all! If I could rate it a 0/5, I would. I do NOT recommend cooking this because you're only setting yourself up for stress and disappointment!
