Southern Butter Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2012
Super easy, super tasty! Family loved these rolls. I paired this with a butternut squash soup and salad for a delicious dinner. Will try to make with whole wheat flour and see what happens.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2012
Great recipe. It was even better the next day after we had covered our dish in foil and left it out on the stovetop over night. Moist, slightly sweet, with just the right amount of density. Good stuff!

Never Fail Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2011
I've been on the look out for a good chewy chocolate chip cookie and this one fits the bill nicely. I added 1/2 c. extra flour, used margarine instead of butter, and doubled the vanilla. I kept everything else as written and they turned out crisp on the outside, chewy on the inside. A very good cookie. Next time I will try with butter to see if it makes any difference in the flavor. Thanks for sharing!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2011
These were really good. I'm more of a chewy chocolate chip cookie person, and these were definately more soft than chewy. But still very good. I'd give it 4.5 stars. I halved my recipe and added 1/4 t. salt and 1 t. baking powder per other reviews. The cookie dought itself was delish!

White Chocolate, Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2011
This was a very yummy recipe. I added 1 tsp. of cinnamon, 1 tsp. of vanilla, and 1/2 c. chopped nuts. Scrumptious! I followed the advice of a review and did half baking soda, 1/2 baking powder and the cookies did not flatten out. I did have to bake them longer than the 8-10 minutes.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2010
I took this to a baby shower and it was a hit! I followed some of the recommendations of other reviewers and tweaked the recipe slightly. I sprayed my tortillas on both sides, cut them into wedges with a pizza cutter. In a gallon size zip lock bag I mixed 2 c. sugar to 2 t. cinnamon. I dropped the tortilla wedges into the bag gave the bag a few good shakes to coat each wedge. I baked them in the oven for about 10 minutes. For the fruit salsa, I cut up strawberries, raspberries, kiwis, mango, pineapple, and fuji apples. I omitted the sugar and instead added 2 T. of peach preserves which made it plenty sweet and didn't make too much liquid. A very good recipe!

Cheeseburger Soup I

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2010
Very good recipe. I followed the instructions as written and the soup turned out rich and creamy. I did have to salt and pepper to taste to enhance the flavor a little bit. Overall, very good soup. Husband and son gobbled it up. Will make again! Next time I will try using sharp cheddar cheese and see if that makes a difference.

Pizza Dough III

Great dough. Very easy to work with. I used it to make the BBQ Chicken Calzones on this website and it was delicious. Nice and crusty on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside.

BBQ Chicken Calzones

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2010
This was my first attempt at homemade calzones and they were excellent! I followed the recipe as written for the BBQ chicken filling and used homemeade pizza dough instead of store-bought. Turned out great. The filling was flavorful and delicous. Hubby gives it 5 stars and I agree with him. Thanks for a fun, yummy recipe.
