My mom always encouraged my interest in cooking/baking. Although she prepared basic simple meals for our family she always prepared them with great love. One of my fondest memory while growing up was walking home from grade school on cold snowy winters days and being welcomed by the wonderful aroma of freshly baked potato bread. I couldn't wait to get my coat, boots and mittens off and bite into a warm slice with pools of melted butter on top.
