This is a simple, yet yummy cookie bar recipe. It's different from anything I've baked before, but it was tasty! I modified the recipe a bit, following the suggestion of another reviewer to make it slightly more healthy. I doubled the recipe to make it in a 9x13. I used 1 stick of butter and for the other stick, I replaced it with 1/4c of applesauce and 1 egg like someone else said. Since I didn't try it the original way, I can't say it was better or different. I'm sure the original recipe would probably taste a bit more buttery and the bottom may have been a bit more crunchy. And I only put 1c of the raspberry jam. Overall, it was still good. I'd try it again with a different kind of jam. :)
