Since I discovered this web site I have used choppers, blenders, multiple chopping boards and have used my blender a whole lot more.  I have had friends over and cooked more than one entree for dinner.  I have been cooking and chatting with my friends at the same time.  I feel like I can cook just about anything now.  I have learned how to make different blended drinks.  My daugher is bragging to people about my cooking.  She has said, "My mom can make anything that she wants to".  It makes me feel good inside.  I have also been grilling outside and coming back in and out of the house creating different side dishes on the stove and oven all at the same time.  I am always looking for a new and interesting recipe.  I haven't made any of my old favorites for a while.  There are are so many easy and delicious recipes on this web site to try.  I appreciate everyone's participation to make cooking fun.  Thanks  Julie

Hi Julie, this site can get addictive-be warned! Glad you are enjoying the kitchen time. I keep learning new tricks from this site all the time & my hubby is really liking my renewed interest in the culinary arts. Do you get over to the exchange much?

About Me
I am a 49 year old mother of a 23 year old daughter, a 28 year old daughter and a grandmother to a 3 year old grandson, a 6 year old grandson and a 4 year old granddaughter. Good thing I have a lot of energy.
My favorite things to cook
I love baking pies. I love Barbecuing and making new sauces and marinades.I have recently taken up baking cheese cakes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My daughter loves for me to make her my fried chicken, tacos, lasagna, and something we call sloppy tortillas, (My dad made up this recipe)
My cooking triumphs
I would love to be able to make cobbler, and not be intimidated by any recipe. I love entertaining and cooking for my friends.
My cooking tragedies
I followed a recipe for baby back ribs. The ribs were burned and dry, and we had to force them down. Lol. I just changed the recipe. (Not so long in the oven before barbecuing).
