Re-Energized To Start.... Again!

My husband and I own our own business, and let me tell you, what "they" say about small business ownership is all true. We have been put through the gamut one too many times, and despite the positive things that what we've done to take care of ourselves,
it has none the less taken its' toll on our health. We've been successful by many, many accounts--hell, we're in business when so many have failed, especially in this economy, that in and of itself is a victory. And we are growing--another victory! But
all this did not come without a few personal sacrifices.
To regain our health, we've been focusing on eating healthy and working out. And though I would say we don't eat horrible (fast food, alcohol, deep-fried and high-sugar), I would say we don't eat great either. For one thing, I'm a so-so cook. I decided to
join as a supporting member here on AllRecipes.com (after thinking about it for years) to help us get better at eating great food that is both delicious and healthy.
I want food to re-energize me, not take me further from my goals of health. I am extremely cautious about pre-made food with all of the chemicals, GMO (genetically modified organism) and crutches that are used to make food sell to the masses like super high
fat, salt and sugar. I do plan on writing about ingredients and the interesting things I discover as I learn more.
But more importantly, I am convinced that food can be both healthy and delicious! And hopefully I can make it easy too... though I'm not so convinced about this one! Either way, we shall see as I continue sharing this journey through this blog! I am looking
