Ah, Thanksgiving.  Such an exciting time of year.  We are hosting our first this year and I am hoping that everything goes well.  I've done a lot of research to get exactly the recipes I want.  So here goes:

Herb-Butter Turkey (I've decided to cook this in a bag)
Traditional Mashed Potatoes
Italian Sausage and Bread Stuffing
Brussels Sprout Hash and Caramelized Shallots
Pan Fried Green Beans
Garnet Yams with maple Syrup and Maple-Sugar Streusel
Pear and Arugula Salad
Garlic Herb Bread Twists
Pecan Pie
Pumpkin Pie

I'll post the recipes and reviews as I get cooking!

Your first thanksgiving meal looks absolutely delicous. I am so glad to see green beans, it is a family tradition for us too. I do not serve salad, instead we have cold slaw. I followed my mothers menu all the years I have been cooking and my family loves it. I'm sure your family will enjoy yours too. Good luck and get the men to do the dishes!

My favorite things to cook
I love to cook Lebanese food and other Mediterranean cuisine.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving. We make the All-American turkey and eat it with Lebanese side dishes...I wouldn't have it any other way : )
My cooking triumphs
Making homemade pasta and pasta sauce when I was 12 years old...hahaha...my mom didn't appreciate the mess in the kitchen...
My cooking tragedies
Ooh I have too many to name, but I keep trying!
