Could not have been any easier. Had everything on hand. Loved the green peppers. Won't be buying the canned stuff ever again!

Wonderful Gluten Free White Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2012
This gluten free recipe for white bread is simply delicious. This was the first "yeast" recipe for gluten free bread that I have made. Found it to be simple and straight forward. The only change was using brown rice flour since I had no white rice flour. I stronly suggest the use of a stand mixer with the bread blade since gluten free dough is much more sticky than traditional yeast bread doughs. The bread holds up very well for sandwiches and makes a wonderful toast for breakfast. I like very much!

Trishie's Cedar Plank Cod

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2012
Very delicious recipe. My family enjoyed the slight sweetness from the honey , but especially the smokey flavor from the cedar plank. I love grilling fish this way.

Mom's Baked Egg Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2012
Great recipe for your next brunch, convienent enough to make to give the kids as they head out the door. Made mine with refrigerated crossant rolls. Just roll out the dough, cut to fit the muffin pan (I used the large muffin tin)didn't even bake the rolls ahead of time. If you like your egg yolk soft or runny, cook the rolls ahead. Used cooked chicken sausage and Quattro Formaggio (Trader Joe's). The possibilies are endless.

Turkish Red Lentil Soup with Mint

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2012
I highly recommend this extremely healthy, hearty, and delicious soup. Make exactly as stated. If you are sensitive to spicy food watch the amount of Cayenne and Parika you use. We like the kick so no changes here! This filling soup is perfect to warm you on a cold day.

Salmon with Brown Sugar and Bourbon Glaze

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2012
Truely wonderful, easy, delicious salmon recipe. I made it exactly as stated. Just added chopped pecans to the sauce after cooking the fish as a topping. Placed on a bed of cooked brussel sprout salad (check out the photo). Makes a nice contrast to the sweetness of the fish and sauce. This is good enough for my next dinner party!

King Cake in a Bread Machine

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2012
This is the easiest, most wonderful tasting sweet bread "cake" I have made. Putting everything in the bread machine and letting it do all the work could not have been better. Baked on a stone in the oven was the finishing touch. I won't wait for Lundi Gras to make this one again.

Creamy Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2012
Such an easy and tastey chicken dish. Especially to make with a short time frame, minus the marinating time. I used boneless, skinless thin cut chicken breast, which I'm sure helped with the shorter marinating time. Marinated with red wine vinegrette and ceaser dressing since that is what I had on hand. Cooked on the BBQ in short time. Followed others suggestion and make more for a sauce, layered it with bow-tie pasta and made the perfect chicken meal. Super easy and very good tasting.

No Name Orange Roughy

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2012
What a wonderful fish recipe! At first not too sure about the tomatoes, but after making this recipe doing everything with the slight exception of the wine. I only had Riesling and what a taste. Paired this with bow tie pasta because of the tomatoes and it was a perfect mate. Go ahead give it a try. I think you'll like it.

Guinataan Hito (Catfish)

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2012
Another 5 stars because my family really enjoyed how the catfish was cooked in this recipe. The only change I made was instead of using cooking oil I used butter. Just a personnel preference over cooking oil for this recipe. Not having used coconut milk for much cooking this was a delightfully light, aromatic and delicious fish recipe. I paired with a Trader Joe's Harvest Grains and frozen peas. Yum! This one is in the recipe box

Oh, this is such a wonderful butternut recipe. Not only is it simple and quick to make the taste is divine! The orange is the right amount of flavor, and the color is amazing. Just add a little chopped parsley and the presentation of this soup is a winner.

Oven-Fried Chicken

Reviewed: May 17, 2011
Truely a good recipe. Like the buttermilk baking mix. I used chicken breast with skin and ribs. When baking it comes out very juciey. I did not have any evaporated milk so used an egg substitute instead with nice results. Give it a try I think you'll like it.

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2011
Smelled so good while it was cooking. Used the boneless/skinless chicken tenders, so they was no pounding involved. Used fresh sliced mushrooms. Made it with risotto, but next time I might try thickening up the sauce for pasta. Could not have been any easier to make.

Delicious Black Bean Burritos

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
A very good start, but not alot of flavor with this recipe. "If" I make this again there are going to have to be some changes to make it more flavorable. Maybe something as easy as adding some fresh salsa, and some spices.

Beef Stroganoff III

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2010
I love this recipe. This time I had lamb that I was going to make stew with but instead used in the stroganoff and from now on will be the only meat I use for this recipe. Perfect flavor. Sometimes when I have no white wine I even add sake. Interesting flavor a well. I make this recipe at least once a month.

Pumpkin Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2009
Great, unusual recipe. Get down to basics with pure pumpkin, black beans and such. Most definately needs the cumin, cayenne, and bay leaf. The red pepper might have been too hot for my light weight family. Did have the sherry vinager which does add a snap of flavor. Sour cream adds the finishing touch. Perfect Halloween night dinner in front of the tv watching football!
