Fried Cabbage II

Reviewed: May 20, 2013
Okay I am a cabbage lover and I usually make it the conventional way but decided to try something different. I cooked a roll of jimmy deans spicy sausage and sautee'd two small onions adding a lil red pepper flakes. I added the cabbage to the mixture layering the garlic powder and pepper in between each batch. I cooked some uncle bens broccoli and augratin whole grain rice to mix with the cabbage and it turned out delishiouso. I omitted the salt, sugar and cider. This dish is a keeper.

Pork-n-Beans Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2013
I found this recipe today and made it. I was sooo excited cause it was something different and it sounded yumm. Like past comments I only used one cup sugar, one cup white flour & one cup whole wheat flour and used plenty of cinnamon and added a dash of nutmeg. I did'nt have nuts or raisins but this taste sooo goood, you cannot even taste the beans at all I mean not one bit. I will def make this again and take it to events & boy will they be surprised when they learn what's in it. I also made a buttercream icing and covered it quite generously.

Fried Chicken with Creamy Gravy

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2010
Delish! I made some alterations. I added extra herbs & spices: such as rosemary& red pepper. I had 5 b/l s/l chicken breast, in abowl I mixed all my herbs & minced garlic in a bowl, dampened it and rolled my chicken in it. Then floured and dipped & refloured. I also cooked the chicken in 1 1/2 cup of smart balance, it turned out delish. I paired it with homemade mashed potatoes and a veggie mix of green beans, corn & sweet peas with a diced onion steamed with 2 cap fulls of extra light olive oil. The gravy was yum yum yum. It was simply delicious.

Orange Cream Cake IV

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
This recipe was fabulously delicious. I would make this cake again in an instant. It tasted so yummy so yummy so yummy. My family and I ate it all up within 2 days we couldn't get enough. I did make a couple of changes, instead of orange mix I used white and added extra orange flavoring. The icing also turned out perfect but I only used half of the sour cream and it turned out perfect. Will make this again for sure.

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2008
My family loved this recipe. The pork chops were juicy and paired with the apples made them taste scrumptous. The downside is the long prep time. Otherwise this is a very good recipe

Orange Herb Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2008
Wow this recipe was exceptional. The whole family nearly ate their plates. I did make a few adjustments, I used halved garlic under the skin with smart balance spread & added a few extra spices. Instead of broth I used 2 cups of water and added the remaining sliced garlic and melted smart balance to it. Turned out delicously. Will be trying this recipe with my Thanksgiving turkey.
