Smoked Salmon Tortellini with Bechamel Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2010
This was pretty good! I think you've really got to be into fish to appreciate this recipe tho. I for one do enjoy my fish but I have to agree with some of the other posters on here and do suggest cutting back some. 1 package of 4/5oz. should do the trick. An array of tasty flavors in this recipe overall tho!

Anne's Homemade Chorizo

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2010
Sadly, I found this recipe massively bland in comparison to the chorizo I've had?? I think the base given here is a good precursor to a fabulous recipe but its def lacking flavor(s) This recipe is a far cry from 'omg yum' I'll have to try some variations as suggested by some here.

This turned out soggy, way too tart & zero maple flavoring.

Everyone loved it, including my boyfee & his fam who are hardcore Itallians! I think I've bought my way into the family just with this recipe alone ;P

I did not care for this recipe. Too much butter, and just really unappealing.

Pisang Goreng (Indonesian Banana Fritters)

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2010
Living in Jakarta for a good amount of my childhood my family used to make these frequently. There is something a little 'off' about the recipe can't really put my finger on it and we certainly didn't use rum in ours but still good and reminded me of those days. For those of you whom have never had this, the best way to describe it....it is sorta like funnel cake with banana inside!

Lisa's Favorite Carne Asada Marinade

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2010
Living in a rural area that doesn't have a single taco shop around for miles and miles (I'm talking hours here!) has been brutal! Until I found this recipe....YAY! My boyfee says 'best ever' and we used to live in SoCal close to the border, thats pretty impressive! Only thing I *had* to do different was use a different cut since the local grocer didn't have flank/skirt steak. I used 'Milenesa'?? Never heard of it till now but it worked great. Thin cut, low on the fat content but still tasty delicious-oh yeah! A big thumbs up. I'll be fixing this for my baby shower for all to enjoy :D Thanks!

Bacon for the Family or a Crowd

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
This turns out great every time! I have tried both thick and thin slices and prefer the thin. If you do use the thin slices I would suggest lining your cookie sheet with wax paper and reducing the baking time-keep an eye on it! Also, as previously mentioned----a cookie sheet with raised edges is a must in either case thick/thin!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2010
Ok, I made a batch as directed in the recipes directions exactly which turned out runny/flat like some of the other reviews. I also made one the rest of them like the other reviewers suggested with extra flour/baking soda/chilling for 2 hours/in the oven for 10mins per batch-which turned out with fantastic results! Sooo good fresh out of the oven with a big ole glass of milk!

Kung Pao Chicken

This really is like restaurant quality all around. I would suggest however to bump up the servings as it does seem a little unproportioned? Great served over rice, cause rice is nioce!

Blue Cheese Burgers

These weren't over the top like the title of the recipe may sound but they weren't bad either. I might try some other variations next time like bacon bits, adding more seasonings or something?

Pasta Pomodoro

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2010
So quick, cheap and easy! I work long days but want to make something tasty that works with our budget and this is one of those recipes that will be worked into our menu on a regular basis. To save on time I used canned Italian seasoned tomatoes, canned button mushrooms and 'Amazing Chicken' from this site. Really complimented each other very well, thank you!

Man-Lovin' Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2010
These were really good! I made them with ribeye steaks and coconut shrimp which was a nice accompaniment. My man was so focused on these potatoes that he didn't even finish his steak or shrimp and kept complimenting the potatoes! The easiest thing to make out of everything by the way! Anyway, this dish certainly lived up to its name in my house! Thank you!
