About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I'm really not so much of a cooker as I am a baker.
My cooking triumphs
I make the best cookies ever!
My cooking tragedies
One time I was hard boiling eggs and I left the kitchen to go do something. Well, I forgot about the eggs and about an hour later I heard a popping sound and suddenly remembered the eggs. I ran back to the kitchen to find that I had managed to blow up eggs... all over the kitchen.

Biscotti
I love biscotti, but am too frugal to buy it so I went searching for a recipe. This is the first I tried and I love it! So simple. Definitely keep your hands oiled when handling the dough. I also substituted vanilla for the anise. Next time I'll try a different flavor, vanilla was all I had on had at the time. Thanks Jandee!

Coconut Cookies
YUM! perfect recipe. the cripies are a bit odd, but somehow compliment the cookie. i drizzled a bit of melted bakers german chocolate on them. mostly just to make them look fancy, but it also added a hit of extra yum.

Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits
The pups loved these! I didn't have flax seeds, so I used a little flax seed oil. Definitely required a lot of flour and I added a bit more oats as well. Like everyone said... it makes a huge batch, but I didn't mind because we had a lot of dogs to share with. Oh and for some of them, I cut strips and then scored the dough so that they could be broken into smaller bits later if wanted. Kind of a choose your size treat.
