Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Best Ever Sausage with Peppers, Onions, and Beer!

So good. The only things I changed was I added pasta and a little spagetti sauce and served it as a one dish meal. Loved it! Guest loved it and had to give them the recipe which they used for a dinner celebration. Also I use broth instead of beer - sorry never going to waste beer on cooking, rather drink it.

Black Bean and Salsa Soup

This was okay. I enjoyed it for a quick meal after a long work shift since it was easy to make. Not something that I would serve to guest.

Cream of Mushroom Soup II

Very. Loved the chunks of mushrooms. It was extremely easy to make. It was thin so after the following the original recipe, I threw in a cup of wild rice and let that simmer. A nice filling vegetarian soup with the rice.

Grilled Marinated Shrimp

This is a wonderful recipe. I have made it several times for guest with rave reviews. One even said it was better than the high priced restuarants that he had been too. I use a chili habanero sauce from El Yucateco, it has a wonderful bite with a slow, hot burn. I do use ketchup since I alway have it on hand. This is a keeper.

Chicken Tortilla Bake

Husband loves this. I made it once and within a week he had repeatly asked me to make it again. Only used 1 can of soup each time since I downsized the recipe and liked it better when I used the mushroom soup versus the chicken.

Broccoli Cheese Soup

This was an excellent soup, quick and easy with wonderful flavor. I did use Velveeta 2% and the first time the cheese seperated as I had the heat too high but this time was perfect since I used lower heat. Also I did use fat free half and half instead of milk and my husband commented on how creamy the soup the looked and tasted. Will be making again soon.

Blueberry Streusel Muffins

These were very disapointing. They came out tough and chewy with very little flavor. The streusel was a lot of work for very little reward. Will continue to look for an easier more flavoriful recipe.

Apple Bread

Just pulled this out of the oven and already 1/2 of the first loaf is gone, has not even cooled yet. Hubby loved the chunks of apple. I did use applesauce instead of oil and since it was thick going into the loaf pan, I doubled the amount of applesauce. It was perfect. Baking time was longer then expected but I was prepared for that from the other reviews. This is a keeper.

The Best Lemon Bars

Very good. I made just as the recipe is written. I took them to work and it only took 45 minutes for the whole batch to disappear. Easy to make.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

There was just something missing from this dish. The only thing I changed was to use hot italian sausage instead of sweet. I have more leftovers then I know what to do with. Will not be repeating this recipe.

Rhubarb Strawberry Cake

This was excellent. Would only have been better had I had ice cream to serve with it. It is not a cake but a cobbler but I knew that from the reviews and from reading the recipe. "That is as good as anything you will ever buy" - quote from my husband. It was runny when I served it but it was still hot from the oven and firmed slightly when it cooled.

Beefy Wild Rice Soup

This was great for a cold windy day. My husband says I can make this again. The only change I made was to use fresh mushrooms. Also I was a little heavy on the hot sauce, using more then the recipe called for and felt the burn. I am going to make this for my company next month.
