Maple-Smoked Prime Rib

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2015
Good roast, nice smoky flavor. I pulled mine out of the smoker at 125 degrees, and wrapped it in foil until it reached 135 degrees.

Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2014
I made this pie just as written. Very tasty! If I make it again I might cut down or leave out the cinnamon. The only change I made was cutting back on the heat after the crust started to brown. It did not come out runny at all.

Cajun Style Turkey Gravy

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2013
Sorry but I didn't care for this gravy. For all the extra work and ingredients it just wasn't as good as a simple gravy made from the drippings. You don't need canned broth to make a good gravy.

Apple Crisp Cups

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2010
TASTY! I used a mix of granny smith, honey crisp, and Jonathan apples. Just because I had them on hand. I found cutting in the butter was easier using two butter knives. I think I'll try a food processor next time to save time. I ran out of the apple mix after filling about 40. I filled the rest with some canned peaches and they were also very tasty. My 13yo daughter liked the ones filled with peaches better then the apple. So if you run out of the apple mix try the peaches or what ever else you might have in the cabinets. The cooking time was right on for me, about 18 min.

Stuffed Shells III

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2010
Great recipe! I had some leftover ricotta cheese to use up and found this recipe. I cut it in half because that was all the ricotta I had. It still made plenty for two adults and two kids. This is so easy and tasty I don't think I will ever buy the frozen ones again. I took some of the tips from others and cut the salt in half. I also used a baggie with a corner cut off to put the cheese into the shell, it worked great!

Golden Sweet Cornbread

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2010
Great tasting cornbread! Easy to make. I followed the recipe without changing anything....it was perfect! I made it to go along with black bean chili. My wife and kids finished off the leftovers for breakfast. Not the chili the cornbread......can't send the kids to school full of chili :)

Fantastic Black Bean Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2010
Very tasty, and easy to make. I added more chili powder ( I put in 2 1/2 tbs ) and it was still on the mild side. I also used 1 can of diced tomatoes, and 1 can of fire roasted tomatoes. Making it 29 ounces all together. This definitely tastes better the next day, so if you're making it for a get together make it the day before.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2008
This is the BEST! I make it when ever I have left over ham. I did make the mistake of not using no salt bouillon. Way to salty that way. I also found that I like a little less pepper than the recipe calls for (about half). Easy to make and great way to use up a ham.
