Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2010
I made this recipe as quoted, and it came out a bit too oily. I am not sure if 1/2c is too much butter, or if I should drain all syrup from the peaches. Either way, this peach cobbler was very good served with marionberry ice cream!

Apple-Cranberry Crisp

This was INCREDIBLE! I just didn't have any pecans, but it was still absolutely delicious! My 3 year old son loved it so much, he licked the bowl clean!

Rum Balls

The first time I made them, they were a little runny--I'd suggest a tad bit less alcohol.

Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2010
1/4c of Balsamic Vinegar was WAY too much. All I could taste was vinegar. To even come close to a recipe like this that would make it 100% better would be to just marinate the steak in Italian dressing for 2-4 hours.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2010
Family and guests LOVE IT. I would use just a little less cream of mushroom soup though (maybe 1 and a half cans).

Lemon Poppy Seed Shortbread

Pretty darn good. I think next time I will double everything to make them thicker, or maybe use some more confectioners sugar.

Thai Chicken with Basil Stir Fry

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2010
I followed the recipe, and also used Thai basil like others suggested. Tasted a little bland. We (my family) are avid Thai food restaurant goers. I would suggest adding green curry (mild) or yellow curry (moderately tangy), a little more fish sauce. Also, I think next time I will put at least half the soy and fish sauce directly in with the chicken, onions, garlic and ginger so that it absorbs into the chicken more, and the rest in with the coconut milk sauce.

Kyle's Favorite Beef Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2010
With my alterations, it would make a 5/5 stars. I used 4 MEDIUM potatoes, 3 large carrots, did NOT cook the onion soup mix in water, added Spice All, 14oz can of beef broth, a bay leaf and 2 sticks of celery. It was the best we've (my family and I) ever had.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
With or without my change, it is still the best Pot Pie. All I did differently was cook the chicken a little, first, in peanut oil and then I put it in water with the veggies.

Roasted Red Pepper Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2009
This was absolutely wonderful! This has become one of my family's favorite ways to each chicken breasts (we personally like dark meat). I did not have to alter this recipe in any way, it was perfect.

Baked Potato Soup V

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2009
Very satisfying. I used 5 large russet (baked) potatoes. I carved out the insides as well as added some skin into the soup. I also used 4 cups of 1% low-fat milk and 2 cups of chicken broth and used less cheese (8oz instead of 10oz). Family loved it. Definitely a keeper!
