Rempel Family Meatloaf

This is my go-to recipe for meatloaf. The only thing I do differently is add potato chips (sometimes flavored, sometimes not) rather than the crackers. If I do this, I used dried onions rather than onion soup mix, so it won't be too salty. Wonderful!

Flatlander Chili

I have made this a few times. As others have said, tomato sauce is all that's needed (rather than the tomato juice.) I also omit the bell peppers, as I dislike them. I half the cumin, as I feel its too much. I also double the cayenne, and its still fine for me (I don't like really spicy stuff.) This is overall a really good recipe.

Quick Mediterranean Pasta

This was very good. I added some garlic salt and pepper, as well as parsley and Parmesan. Next time, I think I will try adding tomatoes too. Great base recipe with so many variations. Thanks!

Carrot Pineapple Cake I

The cake is exceptional--moist and delicious. But I had the same problem that someone earlier did with the frosting...it was too watery to put on the cake, even after I put it in the fridge to stiffen. I used softened butter but not melted. The next time I made the frosting I used only half the butter and that made a HUGE difference.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

This recipe was absolutely AMAZING! I made it last night and had it for lunch, dinner and lunch today. Not too spicy and didn't taste at all like beer (which I worried about). Some things I did differently: Used pinto beans instead of chili beans. Used fresh tomatoes instead of canned. Used 3/4 bottle of Molsen beer instead of whole bottle. Baked on high setting for 4 hours.

Sugar Cookie Frosting

This recipe was okay. I didn't have the problem with it turning brown as some of the reviewers did (I halfed the vanilla) but this icing tastes just like sugar. This frosting is a good base but it needs something else so that it doesn't taste so much like powdered sugar.

Ultimate French Toast

Very nice, very simple recipe. The batter made 5 slices and I cut the bread in half to make it easier to dip and cook. My fiance totally loved this!

Alternative Baked Salmon

This was a fabulous recipe. After reading the other comments I decided to make the topping more moist by using 2 tsp of Dijon mustard rather than dry mustard. Great!
