Oven Fried Chicken III

Reviewed: May 24, 2009
I add no-salt italian seasoning, dried onions, and some garlic salt and it makes the taste a lot more flavorful. Otherwise, I found it a little bland.

Caramel Apple Bars II

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
Tasted really good, but did not hold together very well! I used 2/3 of the dry mixture for the crust too, but used more apples then suggested so that could have been why.

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
I like my slaw with a little bit more sauce and bite, so I used 1/2 cup of vinegar and about 1/2 cup of mayonaise. I thought it was just too dry with what the recipe suggested.

I followed the recipe exactly and they turned out great! I made mini muffins and it filled 1.5 trays. I baked them for only about 10 minutes.

Barbeque Beef Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2009
I used 2 packages of cornbread and it was still WAY too much. The amount of meat mixture should be double the recipe, while the cornbread should be about 1/3 the recipe.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2009
Good, but not very sweet. They were very soft and somewhat lacking in flavor.

Super easy and great tasting. I only let the chicken marinate for about 2 hours, and it was very flavorful!

I left out the jalapenos and the ginger. It tasted good once I added more salt and vinegar.

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2008
Were pretty bland, and I even added garlic. There was not enough sauce for the amount of potatoes.

Good. I used russet potatoes instead of red. It turned out fine, just took almost double the time.

Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2008
Really tasty. I made it with instant rice cooked in the micro, and marinara sauce instead of tomato sauce with seasoning.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
Good, but not great. They were a little flaky in texture, and slightly to hard (though not overcooked).

Chocolate Pretzel Rings

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
This is so easy it can hardly be called a recipe. I used butter snap square-shaped pretzels and they worked great. I ran out of M&Ms so I made a few with mini marshmallows and put make into the oven for 1 minute and then pressed them down...they tasted GREAT!

Peanut Butter Crunch Apples

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
These were very easy to make and tasted great. They do need to stay refrigerated or the caramel gets droopy. I used Pepridge Farms brussles cookies instead, and they tasted GREAT!

Roasted Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
I did not add the milk (lactose-intolerant) and doubled the noodles, chicken and added extra broth. It tasted good, but was thick like a stew not a soup.

Porcupines

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
I followed the recipe, but the rice did not fully cook in the time suggested. I finally ended up scooping them all out and simmering for 20 plus minutes on the stove. Not worth the trouble! Tasted ok.
