Savory Deviled Eggs

very good--used the rice vinegar and forgot the dill weed but otherwise followed exact--whipped up the yokes with a blender to get smooth and put in a zip lock baggy --cut the corner and squeezed out into the white--no clean up-throw out the empty zip baggy

Almond Dukkah

really, really good! i will use a little less salt next time-substituted walnuts for the almonds, dried thyme for fresh and didn't have coriander seeds and found a site that said fennel seeds can be substituted for coriander seed so i added more fennel seed-used my cleaned out coffee grinder to blend

Baked Green Tomatoes

this is good and even better with a few changes--spray the slices with olive oil spam and then dredge in the cornmeal--i did this by first laying all of the slices in the baking sheet--spraying them all-flipping them all-spaying other side and then dipping and cooking--add what ever spices you want --i added a smokey spice--i like the slices pretty thin

Smothered Green Beans

i cooked the bacon, onions and garlic together while i boiled the beans quickly in a little chicken broth with a slice of bacon for added cooking flavor and then added fresh sliced mushrooms to the mix to saute i blanched the beans --plunge in cold water --to keep their color and crispness--then added them to the fry pan mix and heated together--since i like to make things ahead i put it aside and later put it in the oven to heat up at dinner time (would have used the micro if the oven hadn't been on already-- very good blend of flavors

Onion Tart

i was told how to make this tart except the one change was to use a variety of onions--red, sweet, green, shallot, leek etc---and to always make sure to include a sweet onion--also to add a little shredded cheese--swiss or parmasan would be good i think

Roasted Vegetables

i love these roasted veggies and use whatever i like or have on hand--the balsamic vinegar, fresh rosemary and olive oil give it a lot of flavor--i use more vinegar since i like a little more kick!

Crustless Cranberry Pie

i just loved this--i cut back a bit on the butter (maybe 2 Tablespoons less), used half splenda, half sugar and a little less than half cup each and half whole wheat flour, half white--i think those changes made it perhaps a little healthier and no loss of flavor

Tuscan Soup

very good--my changes-added bacon which i cooked along with the sausage and chopped celery which i added with the onions along with minced garlic. added a can of diced tomato and cannelini beans and left out the kale--i know -lots of changes but i just can't help myself! i like to add instant potatoes to make soup creamy without adding fat so i did that at the end

really good sauted the onion in olive oil first, added chopped celery and carrot. used extra curry, gram marsala (?), dried mustard, black pepper and cayeane. used canned evaporated milk for extra richness--used the whole can i did puree it all too--

Slow Cooker Ham

really good--i used the spice packet from the spiral cut ham which is pretty much sugar and spice--just sprinkled it over the ham and let it cook about 4 hours on low--used the foil to cover it in the crock pot and it came out perfect super easy and frees up the oven

Frosty Pineapple Salad

this is refreshing and a slice on a plate just looks so pretty--very easter friendly--or nice spring dessert--i used a banana instant pudding mixed in and cut back on the sugar but next time i will leave out the sugar-

Bratwurst Potato Skillet

very tasty--i mixed the orange juice with stone ground mustard and doubled the ammount--also added some chopped parsley at the end--adds color and parsley goes so nice with potatoes
