Megan's Granola

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2010
Insanely Craveably Good. Doubled the batch and turned the heat down to 275 - tossed every 15 minutes for a total of 45 minutes since there was more in each pan. omitted the dried fruits, subbed 1/2c of the oil with a stick of butter. Don't hate it is really a small amount per serving and delish!

German Chocolate Cake Frosting II

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2010
Sublime! Wisk the yolks in well to incorporate. I was skeptical about the cornstarh but it was right on. Cooked on med/low 4 for about 10 minutes nonstick pot stirring constantly just to subtle boil. It still looked a little loose. Threw in the toasted coconut and nuts and let sit for couple minutes and Viola! Oh My Mercy my wooden spoon is yummy! Oh yea slather all over some brownies. Great recipe>.

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Third time making, forgot to add the half&half to the white chocolate and it still turned out delicious and great creamy yet firm texture. Oreo crust, raspberry preserves, double the recipes and - Croud pleaser.

Whoopie Pies

SUBLIME! Made these for a Christmas dinner party and they were a hit! You can use any flavor cake mix. I found Banana flavored cake mix and talk about insane YUM fest! I made only minor changes but worth noting. I added a small box of instant choc pudding to the cake mix and used half & half in place of milk - I needed to use it up. I baked on well buttered pans at 350 for exactly 11 minutes. Let cool for 5 min before transferring to rack. DONT BAKE ON NONSTICK TEFLON COOKIE SHEETS! One of the pans I used was a non stick and the cookies baked on that sheet were flatter than those baked on a other sheets. Filling is super good with these adjustments. I used 1/2 c milk and 1/2 c half & half in place of 1c milk. I used 2c of powdered sugar in place of white sugar. I also replaced the shortening with 1/2 butter and 1/2 butter flavor shortening and added a pinch of salt. Filling is pretty shelf stable would hold up well in heat.

Apple-Berry Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2008
Made 3 times varying ratio of apple to berries. Great every time. I used small tapioca first time and maybe didn't let it sit long enough but still good. The large tapioca, let sit, and good to go. I too had alot of juice so I added an extra shake of tapioca. I used different pastry recipes and everything from pie pans to 9x13 with no problems and RAVE REVIEWS.
