Turkey and Quinoa Meatloaf

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2013
This was amazingly good! We are just starting to use quinoa, along with saving $ and eating better... this was a perfect way to hit all points. I got ground chick on sale, used 2 pkgs, an extra egg, and topped with a good quality bbq sauce, but otherwise made as directed. The entire family LOVED this and I have enough for a whole other meal. I was surprised that people don't add their own seasoning profiles- I always use more than just salt & pepper. I found this to be flavorful, filling, and soooo good. Try it, I know it sounds scary, but please try it. Good for you and yummy!

Grilled Pork Chops with Balsamic Caramelized Pears

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2013
This was delicious. I did not brine but I think I will try next time. The pear sauce was unreal and the kids enjoyed it as much as we did. We George Formaned it due to weather and it was still amazing. It takes some time to prepare, believe the 2hour prep time.

Artichoke Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2013
Excellent. I did not have marinated artichokes, only had frozen on hand so I chopped the defrosted artichoke hearts and sauted in the onion/garlic until soft and fragrant. Made an amazing filling for the mushrooms and also was great in some stuffed sweet peppers we made to accompany on the appetizer tray. The way these mushrooms cook with the filling is mouth watering. Yum! Sprinkled some paprika on top for crusting.

Bacon Cheddar Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2013
Cheddar, bacon, eggs... where could you go wrong! Used a bit of cumin to enhance the flavors, but otherwise followed the recipe to the tee. I think I'll try with miracle whip to see the how the recipe holds up with that change, but it is great as it stands. THANKS SO MUCH for this one!

Individual Baked Eggs

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2013
This was such a cool recipe!!! I made for New Year's morning after a long night... it was quick, easy, & delicious! I cooked my bacon in advance and I think the bacon being cold helped with flexibility. I used thick-cut bacon and just sprayed my muffin tins well with canola spray (I couldn't quite stomach butter or bacon grease) and they popped right out- no fuss or mess. Sharp cheddar was our cheese of choice. LOVE how the bacon is so crisp. We will make this one again and again... KID PLEASER!!!

Diane's Colcannon

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2012
Heard about colcannon but had never had before... for our xmas dinner this year we decided to go outside the traditional mashed potatoes, stuffing kinda meal- Mom made prime rib, so it seemed a good time to try colcannon; a little out of the box. SO glad I did. I read through all the recipes here on allrecipes.com and this was the winner! So good! Tip: Season at every step!

JD Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2012
Superb! This year's Dixon Featured Xmas Cookie. (We gave as gifts in cute chinese take out boxes) HUGE hit, everyone enjoyed. :) When cooked right, these decadent little crispy on the outside, soft cakey goodness on the inside, and just the right combination of rich butter flavor with the cinnamon sugar cookies are hard to beat- with that said, don't over cook! As soon as you see the light browing, they're done. YUM! *Also used butter instead of shortening; excellent tip!!!
