Bean Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2014
The beans turned out wonderful. I followed the recipe for the most part but I made some modifications. I did 4 cups water and 4 cups chicken broth. I doubled the veggies...but I also added some additional seasoning (along with what was added already) to zest it up a little. I added 1 can of diced tomatoes (Italian style), 1/2 tsp paprika, 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp garlic pepper and 1 tsp of Italian seasoning. It was delicious. All 4 of my kids loved it. Serve with warm corn bread!

Morning Glory Muffins I

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2012
These were great! My kids asked for seconds and I was satisfied after 1. I made some changes however. I used 1 cup white and 1 cup wheat flour, I only used 1 cup of sugar and 4 pkts of Stevia, I had 1 cup of carrots (minced fine in processor) 1 banana and 1/2 cup of blueberries (put in processor also), for the apple butter I used unsweetened applesauce and I added the wheat germ to the ingredients instead of sprinkling on top. I am not a huge raisin fan so I may omit them next time. These are very filling and yummy!

Ham and Bean Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2010
This soup is absolutely delicious. I soaked the bean overnight. I also omitted the Marjoram because I didn't have any and never used it before. I also added a 1/4 teaspoon of cumin and 1 cup of spicy V8 juice. You can add the chiles and tomatoes in the beginning too. The longer it cooks, the better. Absolutely kids loved it too!
