Absolute Best Pancake Syrup

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
Absolutely delicious. I've been making this off and on for a year now just never got around to rating... I make this and put the extra into a Good Seasons dressing bottle, in the fridge. Then reheat in the microwave without the lid for the next time. There's not any leftovers after that... :) Makes your pancakes taste like cinnabons!

Cream Corn Like No Other

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2010
Good but I remember my grandmother's creamed corn where the corn was cut off the cob and had a stronger corn flavor. I think partly because it was fresh and partly because the kernels were cut and the juices from the corn mixed into the sauce. If I make this again with frozen corn I'll chop the kernels up first. Also will skip the parmesan cheese.

Easy Apple Cinnamon Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2010
These were delish! They made 12 muffins for me, filled pretty full. The 2 apples were a lot, I didn't add them all in or it wouldn't have worked so my advice would be to add the apples slowly and see how they fill the batter. This probably depends on the size of the apples. I also used 1/4 cup oil and 1/4 cup melted butter because I ran out of oil. I didn't do the topping being short on time I just sprinkled them with cinnamon sugar. Will definitely make again, with a note on my recipe to use about 1 1/2 c chopped apples.

Barbeque Pork Two Ways

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2009
This was easy and delicious! I had a 7.5 lb pork shoulder with the bone in. I doubled (not tripled) the other ingredients and cut the meat up into big, thick chunks. I threw everything into the crock pot on high for about 2 hours then on low for another 3 1/2 or so (while trick-or-treating!) Pulled meat out and chunked/shredded it up. Served on kaiser rolls with the sauce - delish!

Wonderful Meatloaf

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2013
Delicious and gluten free :) -- It does fall apart easier than bread crumb meatloaf but I think thats just the nature of this recipe. I added an egg to help with that a little. Its very easy to make and very tasty! Thank you!

Chocolate Cornstarch Pudding

Reviewed: May 23, 2011
This is quick & easy to whip uo, and absolutely delicious. Thick and creamy. Served warm it is to die for with whipped cream on top. Chocolate-a-holics like me can add some extra cocoa powder when they need that extra kick, or it is incredible just like the recipe says! Thank you!!!

Husband's Delight

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2010
I made this pretty much by the directions with the exception of seasoning the beef. I don't think this was my taste... The sour cream/cream cheese mixture was really thick in there... My husband and son ate it okay, my youngest wouldn't.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2010
This was easy and tasted great! The only thing I did was add some extra corn, a can of black beans and a can of cannelini beans. Just my personal tase, I like a heartier soup. The flavor was delish. I also threw the chicken breasts in the slow cooker still half frozen, and shredded them later about an hour before serving. Great with a dollop of sour cream on top, some fresh cilantro and a squirt of lime. I ran out of tortilla chips so made some plain cheese quesedillas--they went with it great as a side. Its a keeper!!

Cranberry Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
I'm a muffin girl, and these are a 5 in my book. These muffins are absolutely delicious! I made them as the recipe directed for my first try. The batter gives a sweet and moist cake; the sour cream really makes the flavor. Sometime I will try these with some orange zest in there. The batter is so good, it would be easy to use as a base for blueberry or blueberry lemon muffins as well. Awesome - thanks for sharing!

Antipasto Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
A good basic pasta salad. I used fusilli. I was (personally...) not crazy about the dressing, or all the asiago cheese. I'd make the same salad again with a different dressing and maybe change the cheese, maybe to mozzerella diced and parmesan in slivers.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
These were good, I went a little lighter on the cinnamon and thought it was good (more like 1 1/2 tablespoons.) I followed the directions except I let them sit in the fridge overnight, then in the morning sat them out 20 minutes then into the oven at 350 for a little longer. They came out looking beautiful and very tasty. I've been looking for the perfect cinnamon roll recipe. I thought these were similar to the cinnabons - but like the cinnabons very sweet, cinnamony, and heavy heavy heavy. If I try this recipe again I will let the dough rise longer in an effort to get a lighter roll, and also use less filling. They were really good though. :) Between me, my husband, and my two young boys the whole pan lasted under 2 days!

Cinnamon Rolls I

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
I've been searching for the perfect cinnamon bun recipe, not too heavy, not too sweet, not too syrupy... These were tasty but in my humble opinion, too much yeast. If I try this again I will double the recipe with the same amount of yeast. They came out like rolled white bread.
