Creamy Hot Cocoa

Reviewed: Feb. 29, 2012
My kids love this. We use all nonfat milk and add all 4 cups and heat. The kids add a touch of cold milk to cool off. This makes it not so rich.

Sarge's EZ Pulled Pork BBQ

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2011
My family really liked this recipe. After cooking, pulled apart, added Longhorn BBQ sauce and reserved juice to moisten it. Was soooo good.

Real Strawberry Cupcakes

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2011
These didn't have much flavor. They were moist and very dense. They weren't awful but no one really loved them. I will search for another recipe.

Bananas in Caramel Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2011
Very tasty but the sauce was way to thin. It was the consistency of tomato soup. I would try adding 3/4 - 1 cup and thin as needed.

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

I am not sure why but our family of 5 really didn't enjoy. The concept was good but it lacked something. Just chicken.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2011
I boiled my chicken breasts. I then cooked the vegetables in the stock left over. I added potatos, maybe a cup. Doubled the sauce, using the stock I made. Added extra salt, poultry seasoning and onion powder. Served this over puff pastry. The family loved it. It was a quick inexpensive meal.

Fresh Mozzarella Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2010
This was a wonderful light salad. I made it as is but added lemon juice, extra salt and pepper to taste. I used the full tsp of crushed red pepper, it was warm but not overly spicey. I grow my own basil and used a variety of basil "flavors".

I thought they were good but my 3 children did not like them. They prefer me making the boxed muffins.

Sauteed Apples

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2010
Made recipe exactly same but found I needed to cook about 15 minutes to get apples tender. I used on waffles but decided this would be great over vanilla ice cream!

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: May 13, 2010
Very good with the few suggested changes. I used 2 cans of Golden Mushroom Soup, 1/2 cup water, garlic clove, pepper. I also put 1/2 cup of sour cream in. I might double the meat next time. Wonderful recipe. My 15 year old son asked me to pack it in his lunch. That means it is two thumbs up for him!

This was a great family dinner. It was filling and everyone loved it. I used a roasted chicken and added another 2 chicken breasts. I also substituted chicken broth for the cubes. I will make this again in the future.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2010
This recipe is very hearty and good. It isn't very spicy, just mild, so it was good for my kids. It also holds up in the frig and makes great leftovers. In fact my family liked it better the next day. I doubled the recipe. I used one beer and one can of chicken broth. I used frozen corn instead of canned and used kidney beans in place of black beans. It made so much and was taking so long to cook, I placed it on the stove instead to speed up the cooking process.

Skiers' French Toast

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2010
This recipe tasted good but was very boring. Nothing to it. There was no wow factor. It was not a hit to the large New Years brunch group we had. In fact, I noticed that much of it was left of the plates when people finished.
