Mom's Country Gravy
I was really just looking for the proportion of fat to flour to liquid. My grandmother used to make country gravy with hamburger over baked potatoes and this worked out perfectly. I did butter instead of oil though, just like grandma use to make!

Tex-Mex Turkey Soup
Used this with some leftover turkey. Husband isn't a huge soup fan, but he liked it for a soup. That's high praise coming from him.

My Best Clam Chowder
This has become a weekly recipe at our house. After trying another highly rated clam chowder, we enjoyed this one the best. We cook the veg a bit, add everything but the clams to the crock pot and cook on low for a few hours, we then add the clams during the last half hour or so. Perfect! Thanks for sharing!
