Easy Chicken and Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2013
We enjoyed this soup! I followed the recipe as is except only used 1 cup of half and half to make it a bit lighter. It still tasted great.

Buttermilk Pancakes II

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2010
Really great base recipe. The one change I made was to separate the egg yolk and whites. I added the yolk to the wet ingredients but whipped the egg whites until soft peaks formed. I folded the egg whites into the combined batter right before cooking. Then dropped some blueberries on top of each cake after pouring onto the skillet. Fluffy, delicious perfection!

Creamy Pumpkin Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2009
As written, 4 stars. After initially tasting the soup I added some ginger, cloves, and sage and slightly increased the salt. Then it was 5 stars in my book.

Marshmallow Fondant

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2009
I made my first fondant cake using this recipe, and it turned out really well. It took me forever to mix in all the confectioners sugar and get the right consistency, but that could just be the fault of my ancient mixer. I ended up using a whole bottle of liquid food coloring to make it blue, though it still wasn't as dark as I would have liked. But the fondant tasted great and was easy to work with, and my cake received a lot of positive reviews. Thanks!

Chinese Noodle Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2009
Mmm, this is so good. I prepared regular spaghetti (broken in half) instead of the recommended noodles. What really makes this recipe is the sauce -- I used the version suggested in the first review. Doubled the sauce recipe (I used more veggies than called for) and waited long enough for it to thicken, and it was delicious.

Strawberry Torte

I made this for my family's Easter gathering. It was a hit! Everyone loved that it had the flavor of cheesecake but was much lighter.

Jam Filled Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
I make these every Christmas, and my friends and family always love them! I use seedless blackberry preserves, and they taste delicious and look really pretty. No changes needed to the recipe at all!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2008
My pie tasted great, and this recipes definitely deserves the 5 stars based on taste. However, my pie was really really watery. I used both granny smith apples and some red/yellow apples (not sure what type exactly) and I used whole wheat flour instead of all purpose. Any ideas/suggestions on what went wrong or what I could do to prevent a watery pie next time? Thanks!
