Peanut Butter and Pumpkin Dog Treats

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2008
These are so cute! I cut them into miniature gingerbread men shapes. I used about 15 oz of pumpkin, 3 huge tablespoons of peanut butter (my puppies LOVE peanut butter), and I added about 2 tablespoons of molasses, 1/2 cup of instant oats and about 2 tablespoons of ground flax seeds. It ended up making ALOT of puppy treats, so that's what my puppies are giving to their friends for Christmas! Thanks for the recipe!

Amish Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2010
So good! I made this for Christmas brunch and there wasn't a spoonful left! Several people asked me for the recipe. The only thing I did different was to use a combination of mild and sharp cheddar instead of swiss and a combo of sausage and bacon. For the people who say it is bland, I would say make sure the meat is good quality. I used meat from our local market and it was far from flavorless. Thanks for the recipe!

Brown Sugar Smokies

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2010
I made these for Christmas brunch and they were gone before anything else. Next time I will double (or triple) the recipe. I had several people ask for it. Thanks for the recipe!

Thai Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2010
I was looking for a recipe to use some of the cucumbers and jalapenos in my garden. I am really glad I tried this one. I can't stop eating it! I think I will double it and make it for my baby shower this weekend.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2010
I have tried several pancake recipes on this site, but this one is by far the best! Yummier than pancakes you get at most restaurants. The recipe is perfect just the way it is, so no need to change a thing!

Fluffy Biscuits

These are great. I added them to my recipe box as soon as I ate one. I used a soup can to cut them and used them in chicken over biscuits. Soooo good!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2010
Moist and spicy (but not too spicy). I got 3 mini loaves and two were gone at Christmas brunch and I froze the other for ourselves. Thanks for the recipe!

Sweet Butter

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
I skipped the honey (didn't have any on hand) but I thought it was really tasty. I made it to go with the Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread. Everyone really liked it. Thanks for the recipe!

Apple Orchard Punch

So good! I made it for Christmas brunch. Not a drop was left! I did add one cup of Apple Cider to it. The only thing I would do differently would be to double it. Thanks for the recipe!

Special Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2009
This was the best frosting I have ever made! I did use 1 cup of butter in place of 1 of the cups of shortening. I also added 1 teaspoon each of vanilla, almond and butter extracts, which I highly recommend adding to any frosting recipe. It held up really well for piping (I actually did a basketweave pattern). It has great consistency and a wonderful taste. Everyone should try it!

Roasted Garlic

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2009
I used method two, and roasted about eight cloves. I sprinkled them with some salt and pepper, and they turned out great after about twenty minutes. I put them in mashed potatoes and threw a few cloves into my meatloaf. Yum! Thanks for the recipe!

Caramel Shortbread Squares

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2008
Oh my God, these are soooo good. The only changes I made were using semi-sweet chocolate chips and dark corn syrup (That's all I had on hand) and they turned out amazing! I did cool each layer before putting on the next and I used a double boiler for the chocolate. They are SUPER easy and delicious. I think everyone should try them. Thanks for the recipe!

Butter Icing for Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
This is really good. I used 2 tablespoons of butter and about one tablespoon of cream cheese. I also threw in a teaspoon or so of marshmallow fluff. It was smooth and creamy, yet hardened just enough to coat my sugar cookies well. I used it on the Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies on this site.

Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
These were REALLY good. The only change I made was using 8oz of cream cheese and increasing the flour a bit. I used the Butter Icing for Sugar Cookies on this site to ice them. The cookies were soft and flavorful unlike some sugar cookie recipes that are dry and floury.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
It may be helpful to note to also add 1 -2 tablespoons of milk to the frosting. They are very good. If done right and not overmixed/overbaked, they are fudgey and gooey. And of course the frosting is sweet. Isn't that the point?......This is the exact recipe from Hershey's website and they have the milk listed. I wrote that in my original review, but somehow my reviews are often edited or deleted without my permission. Interesting.

Yummy! This is so much better than the tuna casserole recipe I normally use. I followed the recipe exactly and it definitely did not need anything else. I will make this again and again.
