I'm not a bad cook, but once in awhile my cooking is so bad the dog has to lick his rear end to get the bad taste out of his mouth. For that reason I depend on all of you good cooks here and follow your recipes to the T.

Mrs, we have All had those days. Well maybe not Baking Nana. But I know I have! Forget the Dogs! You know you dish is really Cr@p when Hungry teenagers won't eat your dinner and go searching for lunch meat to make sammies with! Not sure how old you are but there is always another day to learn something new. Start small and with things that are familiar. Go to the farmers Markets or ask your super market to help you. not sure about meat? ask the butcher, don't find a veggie you want to try but have been afraid to eat/cook it? ask the produce manager to get some in.I search for different things I am not sure what to do with, come on here and ask my fellow foodies/friends and they help me out! Got to try a new item I normally might not have bought. Heck, take a culinary class at the local college! I can not wait to do that! It's on my bucket list. as far as following a recipe to the T, that is a good rule that I rarely follow. I always thing I can tweak it better. LOL Sometimes it works and other times, Yeah, Dog food! hahahaa Good luck and don't get discouraged!

LOL - anyone - including me - who has ever put fire under a pan has had tragic results - the true test is the dog. If the teens won't eat and the dog won't eat it - well, it is time to start over and re-group. :)

Love it. We've all been there.

Haha! I love that bit by Ron White when he says that! He wife asks "why is the dog doing that?" and he answers "I think he is trying to get the taste out of his mouth!" And I like his bit when he talks about the smoke detector going off and he says "Honey, I am no expert, but I believe dinner is done BEFORE that particular alarm goes off." LOL! But, like others have said, it happens to us all at some point or another! My BF is a really good cook, but just this past Friday, he made something that sent me running to the bathroom! Nasty! But keep on trying :)

Stop! I'm dying here. Mrs, your post actually made me choke, it was so funny. And yeah, we've ALL had dinners like that. I've said it many times before, the reviews usually point me in the right direction if the recipe comes out gaggy.
