About this Cook
I have a husband that used to be the pickiest eater out there and I converted him to a foodie...I'm proud of that. My two kids (5 and 3) think it's great that I don't force them to eat veggies (actually I sneak them into pretty much everything I cook or bake, our little secret).
My favorite things to cook
Things that have a big 'wow' factor.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Baking cookies with my oldest son.
My cooking triumphs
Any meal that is a hit with my husband and two sons, or hearing days later that my friends are still talking about 'that meal Sarah made last Saturday night'.
My cooking tragedies
Jasmine rice, it is so embarrassing but it always turns out crunchy...every other rice is great, I do a nice Basmati but Jasmine hates me.

Earl Grey Martini
I think this martini is just great. I use a little less simple syrup and next time I will try the double bergamot tea leaves.

Sicilian Meat Roll
My B-I-L made this last night and it was amazing. So much so I had to go online and look for the recipe this morning. His creative additions were prosciutto and sd toms, very good. I was thinking that one could sneak some shredded veggies into the meat mixture as well.

Pumpkin Fluff Dip
I have to admit I was a little embarrassed that everybody loved this so much as it is so easy. I wouldn't tell anybody what was in it but it was a big hit. I did reduce the cool whip (and I subbed light, who can tell the difference) as was suggested. My son had brought a small pumpkin home for school so we used that for the dip, nice presentation and a good recipe to make with your kids.
