Easy Baklava

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2014
I love this recipe, and have made it several times. Many times I have used just half of the phyllo dough package, as the other half I used for spanakopita. Make sure to take the time to reduce the syrup down, otherwise it will drip when you're eating it. I found that my friend's home produced honey was much more flavorful than the store bought variety.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2014
I made this recipe after seeing in the Allrecipes magazine. We enjoyed the lasagna. I was short on time, so I browned and drained the meat, and tossed all of the sauce ingredients into a crockpot before I left for the day. I reduced the salt, as others recommended. I also omitted the fennel seed, since the zesty Italian sausage I was using already had fennel in it. I used homemade noodles, so didn't have to precook them. Everything came together quickly. I thought it might be a bit too saucy, but everything set up great. It's definitely for tomato and meat lovers.

Grits and Ham Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2012
We really enjoyed this dish. I made one similar a couple of years ago and liked this one better. Next time I will reserve a bit of the cheese to sprinkle on top. Thank you for the recipe.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2012
Loved this dip. I followed the advice of other reviewers and mixed panko with the Parmesan and baked until the topping started to brown. The dip was quickly devoured! Delicious.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2010
Oh my, what a pot pie. This was delicious. Due to stock in my pantry, I had to modify it a bit, but it was fantastic. I used green onions, instead of regular. A bag of frozen veggies (peas, carrots, corn, lima beans), and some leftover turkey. I'd recommend putting a piece of foil or cookie sheet on the rack below the pie plate to catch any drips. This recipe is a keeper!
