Recently discovered Cake Artistry and LOVE IT!!!
From a long line of FANTASTIC COOKS, after many years of practice I can finally cook a few things that taste as wonderful as Grandma's, Mom's, and Auntie's.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite family cooking traditions
Teaching my Son recipes that were taught to me by my Grandparents and Parents. My Brother and I remember different recipes passed from older generations. Calling each other to share the recipes we each remember has become special to me as we have aged.
My cooking triumphs
Cake Artistry is my latest triumph. I enjoy the "creative" process and please the palate.
My cooking tragedies
When I was younger (although I came from a family of wonderful cooks) I wasn't such a great cook. After I moved away from home, I attempted to cook beans in a pressure cooker. It was filled to full and "exploded" all over the kitchen. I cleaned up beans from every inch of that kitchen for days! Now ask me about the first time I made pork chops. Can you say "use them as a hammer"?!!
