About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Anything and Everything. Its a big part of my life, making sure I make delicious and nutritious foods for my family.
My favorite family cooking traditions
You know we all have our on way of cooking. I don't think there's anything we do that could be categorized as a "cooking tradition". There's traditional foods, my favorite is my Oma's Red Cabbage! Its fantastic and we only eat it for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
My cooking triumphs
Hmmm.. I have too many to tell! Every time I make something new and it comes out great I consider that a triumphant moment!
My cooking tragedies
LOL. I think I will have to go with this one: When I was in high school I made homemade mashed potatoes or putty for molding sculptures.. Maybe I should have patent that recipe and made edible (somewhat edible) scupltures for weddings!!! Potato Doves!! lol.

Cinnamon Bread I
ok... So this bread is amazing, however, I changed it some and it was the most moist bread i have ever made... Instead of a 1/4 cup of Veg oil I used almost 1 cup Applesauce and instead of Buttermilk I used 2% milk with a dash of vinegar. I mixed the flour, baking powder, soda, cinnamon and salt and set aside, then combined the milk, applesauce, eggs vanilla and sugar. After I beat that for a minute or so I added the dry ingredients.. It looked super runny but man it turned into one fantastic bread!!!! I did not do the topping!!! Awesome!!

Candied Kielbasa
This was great!! I made it like others suggested with 1/4 cup ketchup, 1/4 cup bbq sauce, 1/4 cup horseradish, 3/4 cup brown sugar, a little brown mustard and a splash of Worcestershire sauce.. I served it over rice! My family loved it! Thank you!
