About this Cook
I have been married for three years, and I have a two year old son. I love to cook, and my favorite thing is to meal plan!! I am very obsessive about it.
My favorite things to cook
Mexican food, american food, anything but fish!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love going to my mothers house and baking chocolate chip cookies. I can't wait to carry that on to my son. There is nothing like fresh baked cookies!!
My cooking triumphs
Taking over the Thanksgiving tradtion. I have taken some of the old traditions, but am slowly adding my own.
My cooking tragedies
I tried making a Blueberry coffee cake. It smelled amazing as it baked, and when I took it out of the oven, it looked great. But, when I transferred it to the wire rack to cool, the entire middle fell out. I had overstuffed the middle instead of doing it in layers, and so it didn't cook completly. It was awful!!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
Really liked this. Didn't change anything. I think next time I will take out the onions, but other than that, it was perfect. We had every item already in our pantry. Easy and delicious!

Apple Pie II
really good! Made this exactly, then added vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon. Also added 3 1/2 tbls cornstarch like others suggested. Delicious with ice cream on top!

Vegetable Cheese Soup I
I hate giving this 4 stars, b/c I did change it, but I think the base of the recipe was good. I added ham, b/c my husband must have meat with everything. I also added some diced up zuchinni that I didnt want to waste. I also used 2% velveeta. Needed some seasoning, so we used garlic, pepper, italian seasoning. It was really good. I am sure it would have been good without any changes.
