Best Beef Dip Ever

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2009
Wow! These were to die for! I LOVE beef dips, and I was impressed! I did add a little extra garlic (our prefrence) and did use half beef broth, half water, insstead of all water. Also added a couple of tablespoons of worsteschire per other reviews. I only had time to cook this on hi for 5 hours and it was perfect. I used a gravy seperator to get the fat out of the au jus, and it worked perfectly. Lori, SHARE this recipe with your family and friends! Who does that?

Play Dough Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2008
Absolutely awesome! Kids and parents went nuts! Used another reviewers suggestion and used store bought cookie dough. What a time saver! Also made sure to use concentrated food coloring, a must. Let the kids play with the "play dough" and make their own cookies. Too fun. Make sure to bake long enough, soft cookies will fall off the stick. Cant wait to make orange and black for Halloween, red and green for Christmas, etc. They make adorable gifts when wrapped in cellphane and curling ribbon. I stuck them in a flower pot with styrafoam in the bottom, and gave them as gifts. Thank you so much for sharing your recipe.

Butter Brickle Frozen Delight

TO DIE FOR! I made this for the butterscotch lovers in my family. They went crazy! My brother in law showed up at my house with the ingredients and begged me to make it for him again. Only changed the caramel to butterscotch, caust thats our prefrence. TOO GOOD! Thank you!

Chicken Cilantro

LOVED this recipe! LOVED! So tasty. Very easy. Tried to stretch it once and added extra rice, made it like a casserole. Once added some whole cooked pinto beans, because I love them, and loved that variation too! Big hit with all of the family, from kids to grandpa.

Cheesy Brat Stew for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2004
This was really good. I just changed a few things to suit our tastes. I used fresh onion, that I chopped and sauteed in a little bit of beer. Then I just used a small jar of roasted red bell peppers, since I didnt have fresh. And left out the green beans, just didnt seeem important to me. Didnt have cream of mushroom, so I used cream of chicken instead. But would also try it with cheddar cheese soup. It was a little greasy, so I just skimmed it. Maybe using velveeta instead will help. Also replaced the water with beer, and just used the whole can, because I felt it need more sauce. I did need more than 3 hours to get the potatoes soft, but that was fine, 3 hours for a crock pot meal is pretty short. We had ours in sourdough bread bowls, with a cold beer, GREAT combination, and watched Ohio state beat Oklahoma! It was a great football meal. I will make this for superbowl.

Slow Cooker Bean Casserole AKA Sweet Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2004
This gets five stars because my VERY VERY VERY picky seven year old liked this! I doubled the ammount of the baked beans, one can just didnt seem enough with all that meat. It was good, maybe what I would call kids chili. Adults used to a traditional, spicier chili, probably wont care for it too much. But what a hit with the kids! Next timt they want me to throw in some hot dogs. Whatever gets them to eat!

Awesome Honey Pecan Pork Chops

A little too sweet for us. Did sautee some onions with the butter before adding cutlets, was a good addition to counter the sweetness.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2004
OH MY GOSH! Everyone went crazy for this! Made it as is the first time, and the second time changed it a bit to suit my tastes. More than doubled the hot sauce. Switched the cheddar to pepper jack, and used bleu cheese dressing instead of ranch. I liked it even better the third time, when I omitted the cheese altogether (you will never miss it), skipped the dressing and topped it with blue cheese crumbles! Yum! Serve celery with it, its so good!

Slow Cooker Scalloped Potatoes with Ham

Loved this recipe! So did the picky kids. Made it as is the first time, and changed it a bit the second. Instead of cream of mushroom I used cheddar cheese soup, and velveeta instead of cheddar to please the kids! YUMMY!

Easy Key Lime Pie I

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2004
I cant believe how EASY this pie is. I was craving one after watching a special on food tv, and the famous key lime pie guy said a good key lime pie has only three ingredients. So I searched and found this! It was wonderful. The perfect combo of tart amd sweet. I doubled it right then and there, because it was so easy, and made my neighbors very happy! One other thing, I bought a huge bag of key limes and discovered it only takes about 8 limes to make a half a cup!

Slow Cooker Maple Country Style Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2004
Sooo good, I would give this 5 stars just for the way it smells when youre throwing it together. I like using boneless pork strips, other than that wouldnt change a thing! Check it after 7 hours and I think it would be fine. So good served with some baked sweet potatoes, corn bread and a salad.

Honey Garlic Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2004
Very good. Make sure to cut your ribs as evenly as possible, (or have the butcher do it)because my smaller pieces were obviously a bit dry. The sauce was great over rice. And I love the fact that these are good at room temperature, so I can use them for a get together or appetizer. Will make lots more!

French Dip Sandwiches

Ive made this several times. ALWAYS a hit. The only thing I do differently is add beer to the water to cover it. And half soy sauce and half worcestershire, because we love worcesthershire sauce. Also I add sliced onion to the pot during cooking. SOOO good on good rolls with swiss or provolone. Love it!

My whole family enjoyed this, from the hubby to the 7,4, and 3 year old! And its thown together in 2 mins. it doesnt get better than that. Used the gravy on mashed potatoes and it was a hit. Next time I will throw some fresh sliced mushrooms in gravy last ten minutes or so.

Kentucky Hot Brown

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2004
We LOVED this, kids and all. I did do as suggested and threw it all in a 11x14 dish and made it casserole style. It sure made things easier. Next time I make it I will just try making the gravy with the bacon drippings instead of butter, thats the kind of gravy I grew up on. Husband said keep this recipe out and make it twice a month, indefinately!

Guinness® Corned Beef

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2004
This was DELICIOUS! The flavor is incredible. I had A LOT of corned beef dinners growing up and this one was the best. My meat was tough, and that was totally MY fault. I didnt cover it completely and next time will allow for a little extra time just to be safe. I added baby red potatoes and carrots to the pan for the last hour, and boiled cabbage on the side. Use the pan juices for your veggies, you wont be disappointed!
