About this Cook
I love to cook for my wonderful husband of three years and my amazing daughters ages 13 and 17. I am currently a student working toward a degree in social work/public health. I feel blessed to enjoy more free time spent with my girls and cooking this year.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook soups, fragrant dishes that make the whole house smell good and seasonal dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I wait all year for the fall as it is my favorite season. My best Thanksgiving ever was when I spent it in Baltimore with my sister. We arrived the day before and got to spend the evening cooking together. She is now in Texas with her family. I wish my fellow foodie lived closer. We would be cooking all the time.
My cooking triumphs
My favorite memory is when my daughter Megan, then 5, wrapped her arms around me and exclaimed I love coming home to a hug that smells like chicken soup! My sister also says she can smell my cooking in the neighborhood before she gets in the door.
My cooking tragedies
This would have to be the time I spent a lot of money on lobster tails and filet mignon. The oven broke, and I wound up making them in the toaster oven.

Turkey and Quinoa Meatloaf
This is a wonderful meatloaf recipe. The only change I would make next time would be to cut down on the salt. Everyone loved this recipe and it will be part of my regular rotation. Thanks for sharing!

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs
Yum!!!!! Just like most reviewers said this is a great marinade. I used Hidden Valley lite ranch and fresh rosemary is a must. Next time I will omit the salt and halve the olive oil. Marinating for 30 minutes yields very moist, tender and flavorful chicken. Thank you!

Just okay. I was expecting more from all the positive reviews. Not enough sauce, bread crumbs were a little soggy.
