Pretzel Salad

I'm only giving this recipe one star because it's ABSOLUTELY IMPERATIVE that you refrigerate the cream layer fully before adding the jello layer! I'd even refrigerate the jello but not allow it to start setting. This really should be included in the recipe! I added cooled jello over the cream cheese mixture, and the cream cheese is clumping and floating to the surface. PLEASE REFRIGERATE IF YOU WANT THEM TO REMAIN FULLY SEPARATE!

Nutty Wild Rice Salad with Kiwifruit and Red Grapes

Great concept that could be modified to suit tastes! The texture is wonderful! I do agree that there is a tad too much lemon flavor though. I recommend using fresh lemon juice and not bottled, too. Bottled adds a synthetic flavor that detracts from the lovely combination of other flavors. Will be a regular at my house!

Microwave Walnut Brittle

This recipe turned out perfect. The walnuts are a tasty alternative to peanuts, and being able to use the microwave was great because my stovetop is completely full due to canning! I left the walnuts in halves, which it may be better if they were in smaller chunks, but it probably doesn't matter. I am tempted to eat this whole batch myself, but I'll restrain!

Beef 'n' Olive Sandwiches

I followed this recipe exactly, but found that all I tasted was cream cheese after I had mixed everything together. To make more flavor, I added about a half cup of cheddar cheese as well as some sun dried tomato paste (sun dried tomatoes would work nicely too!). I'd like to know if it was as flavorless for someone else as it was for me before I spiced it up! Oh, another thing: I'd cut back a bit on the pepper, too. Each sample tickled the back of my throat a bit too much because of the pepper.
