White Frosting

The taste was ok, but the appearance wasn't very good. You could see the separation due to the shortening, even though I beat it for the full 12 minutes with a hand mixer and then put it into my stand mixer for another 5 minutes. Next time I'm going to stick with a confectioners sugar/butter frosting recipe.

Mammaw's Waffles

This recipe was easy but extremely tasteless, and I won't use this again. I also had so many problems getting them out of the waffle maker that they came out in pieces. I never had a problem with other waffle recipes I've used.

Whole Wheat Zucchini Bread

I had very good luck with this bread, although I did modify the recipe a bit. I used all whole wheat flour (no white flour). Based on the recommendation of another reviewer, since I was using whole wheat flour, I added 1-cup of skim milk (otherwise the recipe was so dry-I couldn't even mix the ingredients). I also doubled the honey instead of using brown sugar and added more zucchini than asked for. Based on another reviewer, I added slightly more baking powder and baking soda (1/2 tsp more each) since I was using all whole wheat flour. It baked in 55 minutes and came out wonderful.

Caraway Rye Bread

I thought this bread was delicious. I substituted whole wheat flour for the all-purpose flour and it turned out great. Although I let it rise two times before baking, the final baked bread didn't rise all that much but it still tasted great.

Grandpa McAndrew's Irish Soda Bread

I made this for the first time this St. Patrick's Day and it was great. It was easy to make and tasted delicious. The only thing is I needed about 1/2 cup more flour than directed. The dough was much too runny to try to knead, but after adding more flour, it was perfect. Thank you for the recipe!

Rum Balls III

I used this recipe for the first time last night. It was very easy to do and the rum balls tasted delicious (we had to keep ourselves from eating them all before our holiday party). I will definitely make this again and again.
