Slow Cooker Dump and Go Cheesy Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2012
I have been making something similar to this for years. Instead of 2 cans of Cheddar Cheese Soup and only use 1 can and add 1 can of Cream of Chicken soup. It was always an easy dish when the children were young, but I still make it often because it is one of my husband's favorite meals. The soups make a wonderful gravy for mashed potatoes.

Black Bean Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2012
My son and I love this soup. I have made this several times - sometimes adding frozen spinach and/or a few potatoes, cut into bite-sized pieces.

Cindy's Snappy Sensational Superfood Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2011
I made this for dinner last night. It smelled so good cooking all day. I did add some onions, but other than that I fixed it as directed. My son loved it and took a large container home with him. I just had a bowl for lunch today and it was so delicious!

Chicken Pot Pie I

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2011
This almost exactly how I have made my chicken pot pie for years and it is one of my husband's favorites. I make this almost every time I have left over chicken. I add 1 can of Cream of Potato soup, because my husband loves extra potatoes. I warm the filling ingredients in a saucepan before I pour it into the pie crust. I know it is an extra pan to wash, but it seems to bake the crust better if the filling starts out warm. I add some season salt, garlic powder and onion powder or onion flakes to taste.

Eggless Tofu Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2010
This was wonderful. I was looking for a main dish for Easter for my son who is vegan and this hit the spot. (I used soy milk and soy cheddar/jack cheese.) The other non-vegans enjoyed it also. I will definately make this again.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2009
I have been making my roast this way for 30 years, the way my mother-in-law always made it. My family loves it. I add carrots and quartered potatoes to make a complete meal. Sometimes I add a couple of onions, because I love cooked onions.

Sesame Beef

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
I prepared this for dinner last night. It was amazing. Everyone loved it. I didn't have any beef, so I used chicken strips instead. I added broccoli, julliene cut carrots and sliced mushrooms for the vegetables. I think just about any vegetables would be awesome in this sauce. I could even eat it without any meat at all, just veggies.

Pistachio Cake II

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2009
I made this cake for a church picnic today. I used diet Sprite and made the frosting with fat-free cool whip and 1 pkg of pistachio pudding. It was a huge hit.

Asparagus and Mushroom Puff Pastry Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2009
I made this dish last night for my son and his fiance who are Vegan. I made a Vegan Hollandaise sauce, found on this site, and added some pearl onions, because I really like cooked onions. It was a big hit. I will definately make this again. Thanks for the great recipe.

Lentil Rice and Veggie Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2009
I loved this. Better yet, my son who is vegan really liked it. I took the suggestion of a previous reviewer and cooked the rice and lentils in vegetable broth. The store was out of zucchini, so I substituted broccoli, and I used a can of seasoned diced tomatoes and seasoned tomato sauce, one 8 oz can in the casserole and one on top. Actually that is the best thing about this recipe - it is very adaptable. I am really looking forward to experimenting with different combinations. Oh, and it was even better a couple of days later as leftovers.
