Kielbasa with Peppers and Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
This recipe was good but not great. The dish did not have enough flavor for me, even after adding cayenne pepper.

Home-Style Vegetable Beef Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2009
I thought the soup was ok. I thought the dish lacked flavor. I added the salt and pepper, and then some parsley and basil. I would look for another recipe before I made this again.

Delicious Black Bean Burritos

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
This was a geat recipe. Quick, easy and tasty. I added a few more spices and some shredded chicken. I made a ton so I had lunch the next day and they were just as good the second time around.

Easy Mexican Rice

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
The rice was great. The recipe could serve an army and I was only making it for myself. I originally left the lettuce out, but added some to my plate and I loved it. I used black beans in place of the kidney beans. I wanted mine a little more spicy so I added some hot sauce, mmmmmmm.

Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2008
This was a great recipe. Quick, easy and very tasty. I looked at some of the previous reviews and used their ideas, chicken broth instead of water, flavored the pork with salt and pepper, deglazed with white wine. I would probably use less soy sauce next time, but the gravey tasted great. Can't wait to make it again.

Grandma's Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2008
If it has bacon in it it must be good. And it was. I made this for a group of us on a cold Saturday afternoon and I can't wait to make it again. It was so rich and flavorful. I used chicken stock instead of water, and 1 can of creamstyle corn and one can of whole kernal corn. I liked that I could see the corn and the texture the whole kernals provided. Everyone loved it. Next time I may try to thicken it, but not too much.

Chicken Scarpariello

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2008
This is a great recipe. Quick and easy to make. I typically don't love rosemary, but it wasn't too strong and it added a great flavor to the sauce. I went with the consensus and thickened the sauce with a water flour slurry. I was in a rush and didn't make it with pasta, but I think it would taste great on pasta, but you might want to double the sauce.
