Yogurt Herb Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2006
Very tasty and no one knew it was made "low fat". This is the dip we use for vegetables now.

Burnt Sugar Cake II

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2005
Tender, delicate, mild-flavored cake. I thought it grand with just a sprinkling of powdered sugar. Others thought it would be best with some type of frosting. I would love frosting recommendations from anyone reviewing this recipe-

This recipe is a keeper. Really tasty and easy to make. I will look no further for a cinnamon bread recipe!

Chicken-and-Pasta Bake with Basil

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2005
I thought this was a lot of work. Also didn't like the flavor combination of basil with brocoli. Sorry.

Herb Chicken Tortellini Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2005
Tasty and easy to make. I couldn't find the "herb chicken" tortellini, so had to use mozzarella. It was actually pretty good.

Cheesy Mexi-Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2005
Only 3 stars but I think part of the problem was the rather mushy brown rice I used. Otherwise, it was pretty good.

Yogurt Spinach Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2005
I thought this dip was much too salty. However, it had a delicious flavor. I would recommend cutting down on the seasoning salt and maybe using garlic powder instead of garlic salt.

Grandma B's Bean Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2005
Beautifully simplistic recipe. I will make this again. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that it was a touch too bland for me. Next time, I will try adding something to spice it up just a little bit.

Absolutely delicious! I will keep this recipe and make it for years to come. My husband also loved it as did our 2 yr old.

Miracle Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2004
Very nice flavor to the broth. Kind of like hot and sour soup. However, the spinach gets slimy and if you overcook it a bit (like I did) the shrimp gets chewy. I am thinking this soup would be great with chicken or tofu and nix the spinach.

Chinese Chicken and Corn Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2004
Very tasty. Kind of a cross between egg drop soup and chicken soup. Doesn't freeze well.

Mexican Chicken Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2004
This is good if you want something a little different---the seasoning is different than your usual fare. I forgot to buy zuchini, so I threw in some rice and it was pretty good.

Mexican Layered Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2004
Best appetizer of this type we've ever had. The group was swarmed around the plate. It actually tastes better without a cream cheese layer!

I made this exactly as it is written---no pan of water, no doubling the cheese---and it turned out excellent.

This cake has a very nice texture. The frosting was particularly delicious. Creamy and a lovely light cocoa shade. Great for anyone who enjoys intense chocolate flavors.

Three Animal Italian Meatballs

Reviewed: May 4, 2004
I used 2# ground turkey and 1# turkey italian sausage. Otherwise, followed this recipe exactly. Delicious! I will be making these again and again. I fried them, as the recipe states, and the frying is a bit tedious in my opinion. I wonder if they would taste as good if you skipped the frying and baked them.

Italian Wedding Soup I

Reviewed: May 4, 2004
The entire family liked this soup. It is a bit of work but worth it. If you freeze and reheat it, it still tastes great except that the orzo gets a little too puffy and "overcooked"----not that it stops us from eating it and enjoying!

Deep Dish Layered Salad

Made this for a family gathering and everyone liked it. They are asking me to make it again. So refreshing to have a salad that is a little bit different from the normal fare.
