Toscana Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2009
This is a very good base for the soup. However, I think you need to brown the sausage in the dutch oven, drain and then cook the sausage with the soup for the added flavor.

Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2009
I made this for dinner tonight for our family of 5. It's all gone and I made a large batch! The only thing I changed was that I had a leek on hand so I threw it in and I used Half and Half. Don't cut back on the potatoes, unless you have the huge baking potatoes. It thickens the soup for you. Next time I make (which I definitely will!) I will make it with a low sodium bacon and maybe turkey Italian sausage. I found the bacon and sausage I used made it a bit salty for me. Otherwise, EXCELLENT recipe! Thanks for posting it!

Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2008
This is an excellent recipe! I LOVE IT! BUT beware! This is more of a MOLE sauce for enchiladas (chocolate & cinnamon) - NOT your typical red sauce. Be prepared to also adjust the chili used. Go slow and add as you like for your taste.

Mom's Favorite Baked Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2008
i find it better to add about a cup more mik into the cheese sauce and the noodle mixture a little at a time to make sure it doesn't dry out. Also, add bread crumbs to the top of the casserole before putting it in the oven.

We love this recipe and have used it again and again. I have made a few variations of it, mostly with the tabasco sauce (it can be a bit strong...) Otherwise a GREAT recipe!

Delicious Cake! I made it as the recipe states with the exception of baking it a bit longer than stated. It was a moist and wonderful cake!

My family eats these up! I do tend not to fill the cups up too much because they make it hard to get the muffin out. All the neighborhood LOVES this recipe!

London Broil I

We absolutely LOVE this recipe. I don't change a thing except for maybe the vinegar, which depends on what I have on hand. My father-in-law (who's a bit against strong flavors) had SECONDS! I couldn't believe it! This is a keeper that we use over and over!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2007
Okay, my husband loves my cooking - but this is the FIRST time he's wanted to lick the plate! He LOVED the sauce for the tilapia and was willing to fight the kids for the last piece! The kids (15-8) liked it too! Thank you for posting this recipe - it was a definite hit in this household! The only thing I did differently in this recipe was add some parmesan to the top and broiled until bubbly.

Pork Chops with Raspberry Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2006
I'm rating this 5 stars, although I really had to follow everyone's advice. I prefer a bit of garlic powder/salt to the pork rub. The first time I made the sauce, I used the Simply Fruit that I had on hand. I found I had to adjust it by doubling the recipe and adding regular jam with sugar. What a difference! A bit of advice for those with THICK chops from Costco/Sam's Club - brown on both sides for 5 minutes, but then also cover the sides for a few minutes each. When you place the chops in the oven for the warming up - wait 5-10 minutes before starting your sauce. The chops will continue to cook and be completely cooked when you are ready for them.

French Beef Stew

What a wonderful recipe! I only modified it because of what I had on hand. I followed an earlier reviewer's advice and dredged the meat in flour with some garlic powder in it. YUM! Even my picky daughter who responded "I hate STEW!" ate it ALL up!
