Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2013
So delish! I followed other reviews and used poultry seasoning salt and pepper and chicken broth instead of water. I also omitted the onions. Only other advice I have is to really roll out the biscuits

The Best Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2013
This was very good but not lemony enough. I made it as written but I added the zest of the two lemons. Next time I would use 3-4 lemons

Buttermilk Pound Cake II

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2013
This was really good. Nice and sweet. I didn't use lemon extract because I didn't have it but other than that I made it exactly as written and baked in a bundt pan. I don't see this staying in the house too long!

Grilled Bacon Jalapeno Wraps

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2011
These were fantastic!!! I agree with other reviewers though, the cream cheese does need a little jazzing up. Pretty easy to make, and they make a great presentation.

Slow Cooker Carnitas

Reviewed: May 9, 2010
This is fantastic, and couldn't be easier. I didn't shred the meat, I just cut into little pieces before I put it into the pot. Also, I didn't use the cinnamon only because I don't like it. After reading another recipe on this site, I also added some sliced onion to the bottom of the crockpot and a quartered orange. We just ate it plain--it was that good.

Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
These were great. I used almonds instead of pistachio, and I chopped the cranberries a little.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
This recipe was fantastic!!!!! It was incredibly easy to make too. I used the ranch dressing mix, but honestly, I didn't see the point. Also for the reviewers who thought it was too hot, I used Franks Redhot Wings, and the flavor was Sweet Heat BBQ. Perfect amount of heat, and if anybody wants a little more heat, use regular hot sauce to their serving. Definitely try this. You won't be disappointed.

Spooky Witches' Fingers

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
These were so much fun! As other reviewer suggested, I added a little more sugar to make them tastier to kids. Used Strawberry Jelly to stick the almonds on. Had to make a few that were nut-free due to allergies, so I just used Mike & Ike candies instead as another reviewer suggested.

Light and Fluffy Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2008
This is really great. Not as heavy as a quiche. Even better when you add bacon!

Rollups

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2008
I've been making almost the same recipe for years, but over the top of the chicken I lay a piece of bacon across the top. No need for the melted butter. This is great because you can assemble the day before and pop in the oven. Great for a crowd.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2007
This recipe is really very good!! I usually make the Chocolate Chip cookie recipe on the back of the chocolate chip bag with awful results. These were so good. Not cakey at all. Soft in the middle and crisp on the edges. The only change I made was as other reviewers suggested and used 1/2 cup sugar and 1 1/2 cup brown suger.

Rick's Caribbean Ropa Vieja

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2007
This was good but not knock my socks off good. It tasted a little flat--something was missing. As one of the reviewers said, the color is a little unappetizing. I didn't find it too sweet. Other reviewers probably felt it was too sweet because they may have used cream of coconut instead of coconut milk.

Rigatoni with Eggplant, Mushrooms and Goat Cheese

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2007
I was a little skeptical about this when I was making it, but it was good, and really easy to make. The goat cheese and olives make this dish really special.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Wow!!! Made this for Super Bowl party. Everybody loved it. The only thing I changed was I boiled 2 chicken breasts instead of using canned. Really easy with just the right amount of kick.

London Broil I

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2002
I was a little disappointed with this recipe. While it was good, it didn't rate the rave reviews that I've seen for it. Even used lite soy sauce and found it still a little too salty.

Asian Coleslaw

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2002
I've made this 3 times in the past month and even people who like their food plain and basic love it. It's really simple to make especially if you use the bagged coleslaw.

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2002
I don't really care for bread pudding, but I this as a special treat for my uncle when he visited. Everyone loved this and was so impressed that it wasn't the usual soggy bread pudding. The one thing I did change was I used Challah bread instead of white bread. DELICIOUS!!
