Jim Kaczmarek's Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2002
I was SO disappointed with this recipe. YUCK! Not only was it way too salty, but for the cost of all of the meat and spices, it seems pretty expensive. I honestly cannot understand how this recipe was so highly rated. My husband said to toss this recipe, and I agree...I ended up tossing the chili too! :(

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2005
Thought I'd write this review while hubby cleans up dishes! This was a very good and very filling meal. Followed the suggestions of other reviewers and sautee'd onions to go on top. Also, I melted shredded mozzarella onto the French bread during the last two minutes in the oven (I would have used provolone, but didn't have any)! The family loved it and hubby said it was "a keeper." He mentioned thay he'd like me to saute' some green peppers with the onions next time! Will make again!

Hot Fudge Ice Cream Bar Dessert

Reviewed: May 15, 2005
This was very yummy and quite the frozen treat! I didn't change a thing (since it was the first time I made it) and it received high praises from all of my guests! Just be sure to make the chocolate peanut butter mixture ahead of time just so it has time to cool (I threw it in the freezer for a little while.)! If you're a coffee drinker, have a fresh pot ready to enjoy with this frozen delight! In fact, this dessert might be yummy with a little bit of Kahlua drizzled over the top!!!

Frozen Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2005
What a keeper!!! I've made this about four or five times this summer. My family just loves it and always goes back for seconds and thirds...usually serves as a dessert for us, but also makes a refreshing side dish! Here's what we've done to "tweak" it: I reduce the bananas to 3, and add two small cans of mandarin oranges...quite yummy!!!

I made this for a bridal shower and was told that it was delicious by several people. I followed other suggestions and cut the sugar to 1 1/2 cups...it was perfect!!!

Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2005
This is a very unique and delicious soup! Our family (both kids included) really liked it. I've made this recipe several times since finding it here last year. Depending on what you're in the mood for heat-wise, add HOT Italian sausage to clear your sinuses! If you happen to double the batch (in order to have leftovers), you may want to seperate it out before adding the spinach...the spinach is seems to get pretty soggy by day two.

Beer Butt Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2005
Very good! Very easy! Followed the recipe completely, but got some imput along the way. Here's what the nice man at Kroger said: He just takes any old empty can and fill it with a ready-made marinade. In his opinion, this makes it more flavorful! Next time, I plan to fill a can with chicken broth, garlic and other spices. Hope it's as delicious!!!

Justin's Hoosier Daddy Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2005
This is great stuff! I doubled the recipe right off the bat because it sounded really good! My whole family loved it, and has decided that it is our new chili recipe! It appears really liqudiy while cooking, but it ends up perfect once it reaches the bowl! I followed the recipe to a TEE, but skipped any additional ceyanne...next time I will add just a bit! If you're on the fence, try it! I think you'll be pleased!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Hi Everybody! These were good, and you'll not be sorry to make them, but I didn't think they were amazing. I would make them again...they're yummy, but I wouldn't run out for pudding mix to make them.
