Slow Cooker Pork Chops II

AHHHHMAZING. I only tweaked a few things (out of necessity). I never measure ingredients when I am cooking...just eyeball them. Also, I did not have poultry seasoning or garlic or garlic powder. I used what I had, which was chicken seasoning and minced garlic (along with the other ingredients). I also added a little bit of lemon juice after it had cooked for awhile. About an hour before it was done, I threw in some rice. OH MY GOODNESS. The rice soaked up all the delicious liquid. This is some of the best pork I have ever had! I will definitely try this with chicken as well. Thank you for sharing such an AHHHHMAZING recipe!! :)

Saltine Toffee Cookies

I have to review this recipe again! I wish I could give it 20 stars!! I made this last night for a luncheon at work today. I made 2 batches of it. This treat was the ONLY one that was completely GONE by the end of the luncheon!! People were asking me left and right for the recipe. Be prepared if you take this somewhere.....bring several copies of the recipe with you!! Thank you for this incredibly tasty treat!!

Pat's Baked Beans

I am making these beans today. I have had them in the slow cooker for a little over 3 hours now. I keep going back and tasting them. They are incredible! Thanks for sharing this fantastic recipe. I hope I have enough left for the cook-out tomorrow!!

Taco Soup VIII

This is fantastic! I am sitting here eating it as I type this. I made very few changes. I didn't have kidney beans, so I used black beans. I used 1 and 1/2 packages of taco seasoning, a can of green chiles, and about a 1/3 of a package of ranch dressing mix. I served it on top of shredded lettuce with sour cream and crushed Doritos on top. DELICIOUS!! Thanks for the great recipe!! I have to add that I will probably get seconds of this...and I rarely have a second helping of anything!!

Famous Meatballs

I made this exactly as written, EXCEPT I made my own meatballs . I put the meatballs in the slow cooker for about 2 hours before I added the sauce. I even like these better than the ones my mom makes with grape jelly and chili sauce (please don't tell her) ;) This is a tasty and wonderful sauce for meatballs. I will be making these often!! Thanks for sharing!!

Cuban Picadillo

OMGosh!!!! I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical when I found this recipe. Putting raisins and green olives together with ground beef?? I am SOOOO glad I tried this though. It was fantastic!! I followed some reviewers advice and made sofrito and browned the ground beef in that. Then I poured it into my slow cooker and added all the other ingredients. I also added black beans. I omitted the cilantro and added sazon seasoning. I served it over white rice. DELICIOUS!!

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

All I can say is WOW. These are deliciously yummy! I will be making them for my next get-together. I'm sure I'm going to need to double or triple the recipe! I'm not a huge fan of sausage OR bacon, but I LOVED these. I just hope my boyfriend's friends don't want to come live with us after I serve them this!! :)

Salt and Vinegar Chicken

All I can say is, WOW!! This was some of the best chicken I have ever had! I don't know what's up with the negative reviews. It can only be that they do not like vinegar or salt, or great chicken. The skin had a nice crispy texture and tasted a bit like salt and vinegar potato chips. The chicken itself was very moist and tasty. The only change I made was to marinate it for 24 hours in the fridge, and then when it was done I broiled it for about 4 minutes. My boyfriend is a picky eater and he LOVED this!! Thank you for sharing this recipe. I will be making it again and again. I can't wait to try it on the grill this summer!!

Buffalo Chicken Wing Sauce

I pre-made this today before a special event, and I'm so glad I did. I read and re-read the recipe several times. It calls for 1/2 cup of unsalted butter. That is one whole stick. That seemed like a LOT of butter, but I did it because it is what the recipe said and the reviews were great. UGGG. The sauce was wayyyyy too buttery tasting. I wasn't even able to eat one wing. When I make it for my guests I will be using a 1/2 STICK of butter (or less) and NOT a 1/2 cup!!

Hamburger Quiche

I made this exactly as written and it was pretty good. I will make this again but with a few changes. I am going to add some melted butter on top of the hash browns to help them brown, and I will use 4-5 eggs instead of 2. I will also add some green peppers and hot sauce to the hamburger mixture. This is a good basic recipe. Just needs some tweaking.

Slow Cooker Baby Back Ribs

I made these today and they were INCREDIBLE. I followed the recipe exactly except for one addition. I marinated the ribs overnight in a mixture of Worchestershire, soy sauce, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, and sea salt. I served them with loaded baked potatoes, homemade rolls, and salad. Thanks for the fantastic recipe. I will definitely make my ribs like this from now on!!

Famous Pork Chops

I made this tonight. It was wonderful. I agree with some of the others to uncover for the last 15 minutes, and to turn the chops halfway into the cooking time. I do love garlic, but I did not enjoy it in this recipe. I plan on making it again next week with no garlic salt. I am also going to pair it with a apple/cranberry/raisin dipping sauce that goes great with pork. Thanks for sharing this. My husband and I both loved it!!
