These were delicious - the seasoning is just right! My first attempt followed the recipe exactly - I tried to grill them and they fell apart! This afternoon, I made a few modifications: used red bell pepper, red onion, and homemade wheat breadcrumbs. I sauteed the bell pepper and onion in 1T of olive oil, then mashed the blackbeans with a potato masher. I combined all ingredients (I ending up using 2 slices of bread for the crumbs, which equaled about 1 cup. Cooked in a cast iron skillet with 1 T of olive oil. So good! You've got to try these with pickles and swiss cheese!
