Broccoli with Garlic Butter and Cashews

good stuff .. Steamed the broccoli and doubled up on the sauce (1/2 the butter). I let the sauce reduce while the broccoli steamed - the sauce thickened considerably on its own. Added toasted almonds on the second go - it was just as yummy. Also (stored in the fridge sauce & broccoli seperately overnight) heated the next day and tossed with pasta .. fantastic.

Roquefort Pear Salad

a confirmed blue cheese hater; I found it pallatable in this salad in small amounts. Round two I sub'ed in feta as suggested by others and yummo. I added a small amount of butter to the melted sugar (before adding the pecans) to prevent tooth cracking sugar rocks.

Pear and Blue Cheese Salad

I could drink this dressing .... I just poured it over arugula / strawberries / almonds / sunflower seeds / crispy bacon and feta for my lunch and WOW I can hardly wait to go get me some pears and blue cheese ....

Portuguese Chicken I

Fantastically delicious ... 5 stars would have been granted, if the chicken didn't quality for a round of baketball. Round two .. we removed the chicken after 20 minutes of simmering and tented until the sauce reduced; 1/2'ed the cream content and added the chicken back before serving ... we give it 10 stars now.

Harvard Beets

Pretty good. Second round ... Used fresh beets simmered in orange juice. Cider vinegar, a touch of mustard and thickened at the end with starch. Served topped with caramelized onions and goat cheese - pretty good turned fantastic.

5 Star recipe .. only addition a 1/2 cup of crumbled feta and a pinch extra flour to the bechemel for a thin mash potato like consistency as my personal preference.

Harvested Chicken Stew

first try I found this a bit wet and dull .. okay for the boiled veggie type. Second try I added 1/2 tsp paprika; 1/2 tsp chili flakes; 4 cloves garlic; pinch of fresh thyme & pinch fresh rosemary. Reduced broth to 4 cups and added a bit of corn starch to thicken at the end. Served over cheddar tea biscuits .. awesome.
