Mrs. Ronzo's Lemon Balls

I am giving these 3 stars, they were okay and a good place to start. For me a lemon cookie needs more lemon. I will make these again but instead of lemon extract I will use lemon zest in the dough and lemon juice in the icing.

Linzer Torte Cookies

I love these bars. I did not do the cut out cookies but made them in a pan and cut them into bars and they were so good. They froze well too. I can't wait to make them again.

Blueberry Pie

I won a Pie Contest! I used 4 cups of frozen blueberries, 5 TBS cornstarch, 3/4 sugar and baked for 1 hour at 400. Yum!

Blueberry Zucchini Bread

I made it this following the recipe exactly except for using 2 loaf pans and baking for 1 hour 20 minutes as one review said to do. It was wonderful. I am getting ready to make it again today and I plan on using half whole wheat flower and putting a topping in the loaf, of brown sugar, nutmeg, cinamin and some oatmeal we will see which is better.

Rice with Black Beans

I made a few modification as well. But everyone in my house including my 4 and 2 year old loved this. I sauted the onion and garlic is a large skillet, then I used that skillet to cook brown rice in chicken broth with a dash of cumin. Once the rice was done I added the other ingredients. Oh and because it is tomato season I used fresh. It was soooo good.

Make-Ahead Turkey Gravy

It was perfect make ahead, took a ton of stress off of the day. I did make a roux using the butter and fat from the turkey and the flour. I added to it from the drippings from the day and it was perfect, it was perfect way to make sure I had enough gravy

We loved this! It was light and tasty and just fantastic. I did add Cannelini beans and halved cherry tomatoes to make it a main meal but it would have been great without it.
